Job Purpose:

Provide leadership, coordination and support for executing growth, efficiency and control strategies, and day-to-day activities, of the Americas FX Sales business, supporting the business aim to be the industry leading global coverage team and trusted advisor to our most important clients.

This role requires working closely with management to support business goals, and lead cross functional teams including Product Management, Client Facilitation, Legal, Credit Risk Management, Compliance, Operations and Technology.

This role will report to the Americas FX Business Execution Lead and to the Global FX Sales Business Execution Head


Job Background/context:
The responsibilities of the function can be broken down into 4 components:

  • Sales financials and performance metrics reporting

  • Governance, Controls, Conduct and Compliance

  • Strategic development of the business and product

  • Tactical support of the business as required on a day-to-day basis


The candidate must be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment without close supervision, and with colleagues who may not be in the same geographic location.

In addition, the candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications as well as presentation skills.


Key Responsibilities:


Core Business Management Functions

  • Partner with Regional and Global Sales & Trading Business Execution team to ensure the efficient operation of the business.

  • Collaborate closely with Middle Office, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure the smooth functioning of the business.

  • Participate and/or lead various projects related to the long term transformation of the businesses and platforms on which they run.

  • Manage and improve business metrics and key performance indicators.

  • Play a pro-active role in identifying emerging issues and leading resolution.


Business Margin Improvement and Productivity

  • Initiate and lead short, medium and long term projects to achieve the business objectives of the Institutional Sales management team. Projects may be related to revenue growth, expense reduction, process and control improvement and efficiency.

  • Participate in and lead segments of our Client Value reporting, including data quality, analytics and reporting / MIS development.


Business Controls and Governance

  • Assist in managing and providing preparation and support for the Global Institutional Sales Control and Governance meetings and any monthly / quarterly business reviews (MBR/QBR) as required.

  • Assist in / coordinate internal audit and regulatory reviews, providing materials and address concerns arising from these reviews.

  • Ensure the business is run in strict compliance with all internal and regulatory standards.


Business Skills

  • Demonstrate experience in and understanding of Rates and Currencies products, and how Institutional clients use them.

  • Understand the key financial drivers of the institutional sales business including client value and the relationship with revenues, capital and expenses.

  • Understand the importance of technology and operational support and control to the success of the business.

  • Demonstrate ability to manage complex projects and lead cross functional teams without direct management authority.


Communication Skills

  • Foster excellent relationships between the business and the support/control functions

  • Demonstrate ability to operate with all levels of management within FX Sales and Markets and Securities Services more broadly.

Development Value:

  • Develop as a leader working with a dynamic and fast moving senior management team covering global and regional responsibilities.

  • Build a deep understanding of the infrastructure and controls that support the FX Sales business and the underlying products.

  • Become a change agent in areas that require enhancement for business growth, increased control and efficiency improvement.

  • Learn to effectively prioritize as the job entails dealing with multiple conflicting priorities in a time sensitive environment.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Direct product Sales or Trading experience, or a minimum of 5 years within a similar support or business management role in a related product for with a large organization.

  • Experience in the Rates and Currencies industry is preferred.

  • Understanding of the regulatory environment across the globe, and especially within Americas.

  • Knowledge of basic Legal principles is a plus.


Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage/influence cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communications/presentation skills (written/verbal) at all organizational levels.

  • Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously.

  • Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Python coding skills would be an advantage.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent academic background educated to a minimum of degree level.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
