Finance Reporting Senior Analyst, AVP

The Finance Reporting Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of several key US Regulatory Reports including FFIEC009/009a, FR 2510, and FR2436. This position requires a high degree of discretion and authority to ensure the compilation, analysis, and reporting of Citi's financial to the Federal Reserve Bank are conducted in accordance with regulatory and internal standards. The objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with regulatory guidelines. The Finance Reporting Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring changes to the US Regulatory Reporting platform and its subscriptions from upstream systems in relation to regulatory or internal changes is accurately implemented for report production. Additionally, the candidate should have understanding of US Regulatory Reporting, experience managing system changes, and release process. Responsibilities include implementation and alignment of procedures and controls through a robust Change Management framework with a focus on Prudential Reports and Controls framework by incorporating impact analysis of upstream and internal / external changes of data subscriptions, functionality and configurations that are tested, validated and through iterative testing. This position has responsibility for user acceptability testing (UAT) performance and coordination, tracking and communication of progress to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
  • Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
  • Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
  • Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures
  • Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects
  • Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions
  • Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ year’s work experience in finance, accounting and/or software development.
  • Experience managing large tasks in complex environments Solid team and individual contributor track record.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with and analyzing large datasets.
  • A quick learner who possesses analysis, data preparation, and interpretation skills
  • Experience in Financial Services Industry,
  • Ability to read, write, and understand Python, SQL and VBA
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • RPA, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Power Platform a plus.
  • Utilize presentation skills for peer training, senior management updates, and technical presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required given the high level of interaction with senior managers
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment
  • Able to work independently or as a team member on projects or its components
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a tireless work ethic
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and on an Alternative Work-Space (AWS) environment
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to produce polished, high quality and accurate work products

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • BA in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Math, or related field preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$79,120.00 - $118,680.00
