We are looking for an Operational Lead in the Business Analyst space within Securities Services Operations who will contribute to the client implementations and developments of new technologies within the Middle Office business.

The role requires both analytical and project management skills in order to design and manage the migrations runbooks or lead the developments of complex solutions and services for our clients and operational teams. Communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively cooperate with multiple stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations and our Clients.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Lead new business onboarding and system developments projects (with focus on OTC client onboarding); management of multiple high priority visible projects
  • Support migration tasks and Production Validation Testing for new system functionalities and client changes
  • Preparation of business requirement documentation & analysis of proposed system changes, gathering consensus between business requirements and technology deliverables to assure smooth projects implementation;
  • Active cooperation with Product, Technology, Oversight and Clients with view of making products and services scalable and efficient
  • Challenge the status quo, display initiative and innovation – along with implementation of chosen productivity initiatives
  • Very close cooperation with other Change teams and BAU to work out standardized offering, procedures and operating model
  • Well organized capacity management and dynamic prioritization
  • Pro-active risk management and cooperation with necessary stakeholders in order to mitigate operational risk and adherence to all Citi policies.
  • Support high quality of service delivered by the team
  • Perform regular and ad hoc trainings for team members
  • Display appropriate involvement in Department strategic planning
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in institutions linked to capital markets; at least 3 years’ experience in leading changes through dynamic growth environment, direct experience in derivative operations would be beneficial;
  • Knowledge of functioning of different financial instruments;
  • Knowledge of SSO operational environment and end to end trade flows;
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and SWIFT;
  • Experience in leading projects – at least 2 years
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills. Independent, self-motivated and hard working;
  • Ability to handle work pressure
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) – ready to lead meetings with internal and external Clients
  • Outstanding analytical skills & ability to synthesize information
  • Team player able to build strong professional relationships
  • Effective planning skills, ability to prioritize tasks and to work under pressure without supervision in a complex work environment
  • Ability to solve complex issues across SSO Operations and apply an appropriate risk management response
  • Process improvement capabilities, ability to challenge the status quo, think innovatively and introduce improvement initiatives

  • Education:
  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
