The Korean desk within Commercial Subsidiaries Group (CSG) in CCB Mexico is a key role to facilitate cross-border business by leveraging on the strength of our Commercial Bank in Citi Korea in extending banking advisory and support to the overseas subsidiaries of Korean global parented clients and prospects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for colleagues within the CCB organization to gain experience managing a specific portfolio CSG Korean subs in Mexico as well as the overall strategy of the corridor including proactive efforts to build / further develop the second most important business partner at the moment for CSG Mexico and capture the relevant Foreign Direct Investments into the country. While based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon the role will include responsibility over all existing and prospect clients nation wide as well as help build the corridor with the our CSG colleagues in the LATAM region, including our presence countries like Brazil and Argentina as well as our recently launched GNB efforts in the Andean and Central American countries.


Responsibilities:

  • Calls on clients and prospects to deepen relationships and proactively owns, responds to, uncovers, and anticipates future needs, roadblocks or risks and expectations. While doing this, builds mid-long term relationships with relevant local decision makers including local Koreans representatives that serve as country managers, CFOs and treasury personnel.
  • Introduces solutions to clients in building and strengthening an effective portfolio, including Treasury and Trade Solutions (Cash Management and Trade), Markets (FX & Derivates) and Lending.

  • Works with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients’ individual needs

  • Works closely with Case Manager on the on-boarding and retention of clients, ensuring the appropriate “Know Your Client” (KYC) and other compliance deliverables are met

  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet

  • Maximizes client experience by proactive sharing markets updates, trend and intelligence

  • Drives innovation in the solutions we provide clients and further developing our business where necessary and appropriate

  • Execution of strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels (local, regional and global) while developing strong relationship and communications with global relationship teams at Citi Korea (Parent Account Manager, Global Solutions Sales, etc).

  • Networks with clients to identify avenues for new business opportunities

  • Administrate the credit relationship of the client, coordinating and supervising the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processes

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all time

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

    • Close collaboration with other CSG SAMs that have coverage of Korean subsidiaries to ensure the above responsibilities are also met in those portfolios

  • Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of working experience

• Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and process as well as a track record of providing sound banking and financial advice and solutions to clients

• Demonstrates sound credit skills by being able to structure more complex deals, which can include capital market transactions

• Demonstrates advanced credit skills; able to structure all type of credit deals

• Ability to work effectively in team setting

• Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g. negotiation, consultative skills, leadership)

• Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions

• Highly focused, able to rapidly identify key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities

• A proactive approach in looking for ways in strengthening business relationship with clients, delivers a simple, secure and seamless client experience

• Passion for creating new business opportunities with existing clients & prospects and able to demonstrate innovative approaches to meeting clients’ needs.

• Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience we deliver for our clients

• Able to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights

• Fluent in Korean and English language. Spanish communication skills preferred but not mandatory.

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree, Masters degree preferred.

주요 업무 및 책임:

  • 고객사 및 잠재 고객사와의 거래 관계 심화를 위한 연락을 진행하며 추후 요구사항, 장애물, 리스크, 또는 기대 사항에 대해 이를 적극적으로 책임지고, 대응하고, 발견하고, 예측합니다. 동시에 해당 국가의 관리자, CFO, 재무 담당자 등 로컬 한국 대표를 포함한 관련 로컬 의사 결정권자와 중장기적 관계 구축

·TTS (자금 관리 및 수출입), Markets (FX & 파생상품) Lending을 포함한 효과적인 포트폴리오 구축 및 강화를 위한 솔루션을 고객사에 제안

  • 제품 및 관련 전문가와 협업하여 고객사의 개별 요구 사항을 충족하는 혁신적인 맞춤화 솔루션 구성
  • 고객사 온보딩 및 유지와 관련하여 Case Manager와 긴밀히 협업하여 적절한 KYC (Know Your Client) 및 여타 컴플라이언스 조건 준수
  • SoW 비율 증대 및 심화를 위한 교차 판매 기회 발굴

자격 요건:

6-10년 근무 경험
