Job Overview:

Java Senior Tech Lead  is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead integration of functions to meet goals, deploy new products, and enhance processes

  • Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high level problems

  • Provide expertise in area of advanced knowledge of applications programming and plan assignments involving large budgets, cross functional project, or multiple projects

  • Develop application methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of supported main system flows and comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas to achieve technology goals

  • Consult with end users to identify system function specifications and incorporate into overall system design

  • Allocate work, and act as an advisor/coach developers, analysts, and new team members

  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external parties

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Java development in an Enterprise Environment 

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Core Java, Java EE, Spring boot.
    Excellent Knowledge in Spring Microservicesarchitecture and design patterns

  • In-depth knowledge of Multithreading , Concurrency, JPA , Hibernate
    Extensively used Eclipse or IntelliJ IS A PLUS

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of Python, PySpark and working in Big Data environment is a huge plus.

  • The role requires an individual who is results-focused, proactive, highly collaborative, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skills in both solution evangelism and expectation management.

  • In-depth knowledge of website design and programming

  • Knowledge of hardware and operating systems (Unix-based systems)

  • Knowledge of event-based architecture , JMS

  • Understanding of relational databases (Oracle)

  • Agile experience with application servers and web application servers

  • Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, time-management; planning, negotiation skills and presentation skills are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services preferred, with experience building technology solutions on enterprise scale highly preferred.

  • Experience in High-Speed Messaging platforms such as KAFKA .

  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery technologies and tools.

  • Experience with Jenkins.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering/University degree

  • Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
