Test Manager role to support E2E testing for new top priority platform for Fund Accounting and Middle Office. Test Manager will have primary responsibility of software quality assurance for a group of Middle Office and Fund Accounting applications from Business perspective. He / She will be working as part of Change Management team and assist in testing of projects related to Global Fund Services for timely completion of scheduled projects. He / She is responsible for maintaining overall Book of Work, Costing, Resourcing and continuous process of Test processes. It will require working with Global IT, Product and Operations senior management to provide a high quality software product to the internal and external clients and meet the agreed and expected service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of executing to milestones and budget on one or more Test projects.
  • Manages Testing team/s with respect to on-time and proper execution of tasks, internal trainings, control and reporting to Senior Management. Executes on all people leadership functions, managing absence and holiday leave, remuneration etc. Drives continuous improvement and project implementation for the team and whole unit. Ensures cohesion between different internal functions and teams. Drives the ongoing development, growth and stability of the organization
  • Day-to-day leadership, management & support of Testing project/s.
  • Active management through goals, key performance and quality indicators with view of improving overall quality and timeliness of Testing delivery
  • Capacity management and dynamic prioritization of resources
  • Building and maintenance of strong client relationships that enforces the quality of the Citi service
  • Building effective relationships with production/BAU Middle Office and Funds teams globally, enabling high quality and timely delivery of projects and ensuring BAU satisfaction from delivered initiatives

  • Provide functional test analysis, planning, design, execution and reporting for testing assignments.
  • Drives automation approaches for various types of testing (SIT, UAT etc) for web/ UI and database applications 
  • Estimation & Milestone planning for the project and provide estimates for the UAT.
  • Ensure the deliverables are managed within the defines timelines
  • Highlight Risk and issues at management level
  • Extensive liaison and direct contact with a diverse range of business and technology functions, both within the bank and with key vendors.
  • Prepare where required: Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Test Coverage analysis for a given testing assignment.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders or other groups in preparation and execution of the planned functional testing.
  • Play a lead role in the analysis and reporting of test results, working closely with business, technology and support areas to investigate and interpret test findings.
  • Assist in the reception and quality assurance of the business requirements, solution design and business process documents individual projects. 
  • Develop and extend collaborative working relationships with clients, technology suppliers and operational support areas in order to quickly understand requirements, resolve problems/issues, suggest solutions and identify areas for service improvement.
  • As a member of the Test Work stream, participate in peer reviews of Test Approaches, Test Plans, Test Conditions and Test Scripts as well as contributing to the on-going development of test strategy and policy within the Testing Programme.
  • Track the schedule and testing progress and be accountable for the tasks and releases.
  • Manage the client meetings and defect calls independently


Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services industry; Investment Banking, Security Services domain preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in leading multiple high priority complex testing projects.
  • The successful candidate should have an extensive knowledge, experience and exposure in Middle Office (preferably) or Funds industry products (e.g. Custody, Funds Admin) and applicants should be numerate, computer literate with the ability to understand new systems quickly.
  • Detailed practical experience of the use of JIRA.
  • ISTQB or ISEB testing qualifications preferred
  • Must possess sound knowledge on Trade Processing / Fund Accounting.
  • Exposure to global client and understanding of global work culture
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation and service commitment.
  • Ability to handle pressure, work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks and meets strict deadlines.
  • Must be prepared to work in a shift in line with regions supported including India night shifts
  • Innovative approach to work and continuously identifies and implement process improvements
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Strong organizational, networking and managerial skills
  • Ability to influence change at difference levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, master’s degree in computer science or finance preferred
