Scrum Master-AVP- Pune
The Scrum Master facilitates communication and information exchange between external groups and the project team. Generally has responsibility for ensuring the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team agreed they would use. The responsibilities of this role include: Clearing obstacles. Establishing an environment where the team can be effective.
Responsibilities:
- Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers
- Supports and educates the scrum team on their role in agile transformation and scrum adoption, i.e. the Product Owner on backlog grooming and maintenance.
- Facilitates and supports all scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint demos/reviews and retrospectives
- Creates and maintains the plans and metrics to track team progress and manages operational needs, including team hours, expenses and project budget (burndown, sprint & velocity reports)
- Coordinates across teams to facilitate Scrum of Scrum sessions, ensure impediment removal and identify needed resources
- Fosters strong communication among disciplines in a cross-functional team that includes developers, testers, and user experience/visual designers
- Minimizes a project’s exposure and risk and manages changes to requirements and plan
- Communicates project needs, objectives and achievements to team members, leaders and other teams.
- Coaches the team to attain higher levels of maturity of Scrum
- Supports continuous improvement, learning opportunity, increasing predictability
- Fully utilizes JIRA/Confluence capabilities
Qualifications:
- Holds Scrum Master Certification
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
- Good skills & knowledge of facilitation, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment and situational awareness
- Experienced in working with globally spread cross-functional and multicultural teams
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienc
