The Architecture Sr Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. The position is within the Markets Operations Technology (MOT) team within the Cash Securities Settlement team. The MOT Settlements team is seeking a strong technical and engineering lead. Candidate must have experience in developing enterprise application using Java/J2EE & Spring. The work will include transformation of existing application suite and technical stack to a more strategic state-of-the-art solution using new stack development, Agile/ DevOps development model, high standard/ Micro services/ Docker for application hosting. Candidate will be working on fast-paced, highly visible and challenging projects. Candidate is expected to be a self-starter and someone who loves technology in general and excels when challenged.

Technology Skills:

  • Must have expert level (hands-on) knowledge and understanding in both Java J2EE and Spring based technology stack
  • Understanding and experience of Weblogic based App servers and ability to transform App servers to a more POJO stack
  • Must have Deep understanding ofSpring Boot Microservice and Microservices best practices, patterns- Spring boot microservices is highly preferred
  • Must have Hands-on SQL, MS SQL/Oracle database
  • MongoDB knowledge / experience
  • Must have experience in SCMs like GIT; and tools like JIRA
  • Good understanding of OpenShift & Docker
  • Good understanding of Kafka is highly desirable
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience is required.
  • Strong systems analysis, design and architecture fundamentals, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities
  • Ability to contribute in high- and low-level system design (Sequence diagram, class diagrams)
  • Strong communication skills, should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • As a global technical and engineering lead, analyze and collaborate on technical solutions and strategies with the team and provide the optimum solution for our clients and application team stakeholders.
  • Own success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions. Mentoring other developer on their implementation while needed, and organize review activities like design review, code review and technical document review etc. to make sure the success deliverable.
  • Responsible for systems analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities
  • Code reviews, exposure to continuous integration, test case reviews and ensure code developed meets the requirements
  • Explore existing application systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation
  • Provide architectural vision for all IT systems, including those that support Internet applications, ensuring that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.
  • Develop architecture, strategy, planning, and problem solving solutions on an enterprise level.
  • Interface with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap based on Citi requirements.
  • Impact the technology function through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions.


Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience as technical team lead
  • Extensive experience system analysis and in UI programming of software applications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to develop working relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly
  • Methodical, attention to detail


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
