Ops Sup Manager - C12 - OFALLON
This role is a manager position responsible for managing a Financial Services Investigations team providing oversight, monitoring, and account ownership responsibilities of General Ledger Retail Bank balance sheet accounts, including balance substantiation, creating balance pools for reconciliation, and mapping accounts to existing balance pools, supporting the Frontier recon process and investigation of exception balances. Support analytics of open item activity, presenting findings to management and finance teams. Facilitate timely resolution of aged balances/investigation items and escalate timely in accordance with internal process standards and within Balance Sheet Governance aging benchmark guidelines. Coordinate process improvements and new process implementations with business partners and team. Additionally, the Ops Sup Manager serves as the liaison between operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, and other backoffice process custodians. The overall objective of this role is to manage staff and provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure, processes, Sr. management strategy, and Citi’s shared vision.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a Financial Investigations unit, conduct performance reviews, develop staff.
- Account Owner of Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts and support adherence to the Balance Sheet Substantiation governance framework (proper month-end close).
- Ensure timely and accurate resolution of escalated financial differences / exception items.
- Perform financial, statistical, and operational studies using analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies to evidence operational effectiveness.
- Interpret data and results, apply professional judgement, making data-based decisions in conjunction with situational experience.
- Resolve varied and complex issues using professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise.
- Engage with project management to assist operational projects as assigned.
- Perform feasibility reviews on process changes and partner with business teams to develop improvements/solutions that help to streamline the operational workflow.
- Provide informal guidance and training to managed staff.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited direct supervision.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate. Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Present operational subject matter to senior stakeholders and other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating a consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- High level knowledge of related to industry standards and practices
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Reconciliation experience, facilitating resolution of escalated investigations
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

$72,880.00 - $109,320.00
