Wealth Credit Management (WCM) provides integrated end to end credit underwriting, transaction and portfolio management in partnership with all the origination businesses of the Private Bank and Wealth Management of Citi.  We are looking to hire an experienced professional to contribute and perform a management role with respect to the development and implementation of Data Management Team (DMT) within Loan Product and Transaction Management in WCM. This is a global role covering Americas, EMEA and AP region.

DMT will be responsible for key aspects for data from definition to data capture, governance and regulatory reporting.   The team will service as the primary contact for all internal and external audit queries as well as play a critical role in representing LPTM team in various control forum related to Data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform leadership role with respect to the build and development of the global team of professionals to support Regulatory Reporting such as Y14 Schedule H and SNC as well as overseeing Data Tracing activities globally, provide oversight and drive key deliverables impacting Data Quality.
  • Lead global efforts to automate and streamline portfolio-reporting processes. Identify trends in large datasets. Reconcile and identify underlying issues in such datasets and transformation logic and work towards prioritizing / resolving the gaps.
  • Document streamlined / updated process flows and develop technical documentation to create new processes for capturing deal closing financial information for origination team and improve reporting and tracking of revenues.
  • Perform quantitative analysis, risk management analytics, revenue analysis, exposure analysis, portfolio performance analysis, and support other portfolio risk including Basel II and Basel III capital adequacy measurement, Y14 Schedule H, stress testing, and revenue / regulatory reporting related strategic projects.
  • Perform gap analysis and convey relevant concepts and findings to senior management.
  • Perform deep dive on the failed CDEs in the data tracing process to identify the root cause and work for remediation in source system as applicable
  • Perform deep dive on Citi’s internal downstream data aggregators viz: Optima / Reg insight / Olympus to review the data transformation logic; propose solutions to the data gaps and drive project to improve data quality and reduce data gaps. 
  • Manage and contribute to the creation of processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and implementation of function.
  • Manage data capture requirements based on regional needs and regulatory guidance.
  • Represent LPTM team in senior management forums related to regulatory / Internal data tracing initiatives.
  • Lead the team and support  in preparation of key risk, finance, and operation reports for monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc requests from regulators and Citi's internal auditors. Drive and execute key management initiatives across Investment Finance Business.
  • Implement various KRI and KPIs to enhance data quality.
  • Work with CDO teams for any data related matters
  • Closely partner with each of the originating products, credit risk, operations, Technology legal, etc. to implement the target support model to eliminate / minimize Data Quality issues
  • Institute and ensure effectiveness of controls and processes meet internal policies and regulatory requirements/expectations
  • Define the strategic vision for this team by enabling the implementation roadmap to execute accordingly
  • Constructively contribute to new and existing policy and regulatory requirements across Global Wealth Management workstreams
  • Lead the team to constantly improve Data Capture processes, controls and reduce downstream data transformation related issues  across loan lifecycle

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • In depth knowledge of Loan product
  • Expert in reading and interpreting complex credit agreements
  • Extensive experience in managing large remediation efforts and meeting critical deadlines
  • Experience leading a team in a management capacity supporting wholesale lending at large financial institution
  • Demonstrated skills in building, developing, and motivating teams
  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management both within the lines of business and across multiple stakeholders
  • Highly developed analytical and decision-making capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose and execute solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to multi-task through the practice of strong organizational and time management skills with experience in continuously following-up with various stakeholders and execution team
  • Extensive knowledge working internal and external audit entities
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintain business line partnerships
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in large financial institution / financial consulting firm is a must
  • Graduate degree is required and MBA is a Plus
  • Prior experience in regulatory reporting role is a plus
  • Understanding of lending rules and regulation is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
