The Branch Manager SAFE Act is a senior-level management position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees and growing sales and client base in coordination with the Consumer Sales team. The overall objective of this role is to lead a team, grow sales, build customer loyalty and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives. Responsibilities may also include the management of activities by external organizations and the direct management of individuals and sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of integrated sales, relationship, and credit strategies, business plans and operational goals through building customer relationships, developing sales plans, focusing on employee performance/development
  • Monitor and adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets
  • Drive individual production goals with target clients and outbound sales activities, including building referral network and relationships with internal partners and external contacts to support portfolio growth
  • Collaborate with branch partners and internal groups, integrate segment partners into the branch team and leverage workforce planning tools to optimize staffing
  • Conduct daily proof processes to ensure adherence to operational requirements and investigate controllable losses among branch staff
  • Conduct managerial responsibilities such as hiring, performance management/evaluation, activity-based coaching and mentoring, compensation and communication of expectations and goals as well as fostering a motivating, collaborative environment
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in people management, business banking (retail banking preferred) and cash/treasury management with proven credit skills
  • Proven success in managing team(s) in a sales environment and leading and influencing a team in a matrix environment
  • Proven client-service orientation with demonstrated optimistic, efficient working attitude, work ethic and self-motivation to succeed
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Consistently able to adapt to organizational, business and regulatory changes and lead teams through change
  • Proven time-management, leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize and collaborate with passion for innovation
  • Must be registered or be willing to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("Registry") and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$139,040.00 - $208,560.00
