Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Salesperson for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Assist clients in raising funds in capital markets as well as provide strategic advisory services for capital markets strategies and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. Refine and implement sales/marketing strategy to improve Citi's client footprint and maximize associated revenue while working with management/colleagues to establish a clear marketing plan with defined priorities, market penetration, and revenue goals. Advise team in strategic positioning and closing transactions with various internal stakeholders (structuring, trading, legal, credit and risk etc.). Forge a relationship with salespeople to leverage Citi's franchise and source relevant buying and selling opportunities for clients. Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure. Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation providing strategic advisory services within the financial services industry. Three (3) years of experience must include: Identifying institutional client needs and working with banks, hedge funds, real money accounts, and internal stakeholders to provide best-in-class offerings for capital markets cash and derivatives products; Pricing FX and rates derivatives including tailor-made structures for local LATAM banks and insurance companies looking to hedge their investments and liabilities using excel models and Bloomberg tools; Working in Latin American financial markets, developing knowledge in local products and regulations, pension systems, and the political environment of each country in the region; Analyzing data from financial information systems including Bloomberg to identify market catalysts, trends, and risks to produce in-depth analytical reports; Analyzing data published by LATAM central banks and other public entities to identify specific institutional sector investment trends and strategies; Working with LATAM Rates instruments both cash (bonds) and derivatives (bilateral and centrally cleared); Working with foreign exchange market dynamics and instruments including linear (spot, forwards, NDFs) as well as nonlinear instruments (FX vol products); and Working with global securitized products, in particular emerging market credit, both sovereign and corporate debt, in cash and derivatives format. 40 hrs./wk.
