The Equities business is seeking a Global Data Product Development AVP or VP to build on and innovate Citi’s global data offering for key institutional clients, including Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, and Pension Funds. This role reports into the Equities Platform Sales team, and requires a strong technical background as well as solid communication skills. The Equities business includes Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Delta One, Prime Finance, and Sales (Equities and Prime).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new data sets leveraging Citi’s proprietary data and make enhancements to existing data sets, including running statistical analysis to determine rules around aggregation/anonymization of raw data
  • Draw upon client feedback and competitive intelligence to prioritize which data sets to develop, and improve on existing data sets
  • Implement globally consistent rules for data sets using input from regional subject matter experts
  • Work closely with quant and technology teams to clearly set the requirements and book of work for data product development (including producing and improving new data sets, defining tools and resources required for data sets, etc.)
  • Monitor data quality on an ongoing basis – pull data mirroring client API access, review data exception reports, and implement changes or enhancements as needed
  • Manage client exclusion requests, and client access, including producing formal reports ensuring data quality and adherence to protocols
  • Partner with Citi’s Data Governance, Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) to launch and maintain data sets following Citi markets wide policies and data standards
  • Define and manage Service Level Agreements for Citi data products as well as external sources / providers
  • Create marketing collateral and host internal sales teams teach-ins

Required Skills

  • R, Python, VBA programming languages
  • Familiarity in working with APIs - experience working with large data sets
  • Strong background in Statistics
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in Markets – knowledge of Equities market structure and products, including Derivatives, Swaps, Factors (Quant and Macro), Cash, and Prime Brokerage
  • High attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines on short notice
  • Established industry relationships with 3rd party data providers or vendors is a plus

Education/Licenses

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree in a technical major
  • Series 7 and 63, or ability to obtain shortly after beginning
