Global Head of Commercialization, Spring by Citi
Spring by Citi is Citi’s global digital payment acceptance service for enabling ecommerce (B2C and B2B) funds flow for enterprise merchants across 25 markets around the world. Spring by Citi offers acceptance of locally-relevant payment methods and seamless access to Citi’s industry-leading treasury solutions and banking services across Citi’s proprietary global payments network. In combination with Citi’s embedded FX, enhanced reconciliation and reporting capabilities, Spring by Citi offers a wide range of services across clients’ corporate treasury, payment operations, marketing and sales teams.
About the role
As Global Head of Commercialization, Spring by Citi you will lead commercialization efforts across a team of highly-motivated commercialization leads and cross-functional teams including product, sales, operations and related functions to grow transaction volume and deliver a differentiated experience to Citi's globally diverse large enterprise merchant client base.
You will bring a deep understanding of merchant payment trends, decision-maker buying behavior, competitive positioning, sales strategies and client solutioning to emphasize Citi’s unique value proposition and grow the business.
Core Responsibilities/Expectations
Lead/influence a team of highly-motivated individuals to drive client mandates/wins.
Drive and own a robust product feedback framework aimed at deepening the connection between Spring by Citi’s capabilities and our clients’ needs.
Act as a domain and knowledge leader for Spring by Citi bringing domain expertise, enhancing commercial opportunities for Citi.
Develop strong relationships with alternative buying centers at Citi’s existing and prospective clients.
Partner with internal teams to build sales collateral, enablement content, and live training for new, differentiated services and capabilities. Collaborate across cross-functional teams in multiple time zones to solve problems and drive value for clients.
Support RFPs and client conversations in partnership with Sales leads, as needed.
Proactively work across sales sector leads to unlock new client categories and expand our total addressable market.
Design category-specific pricing strategies that meet market expectations.
Foster industry engagement through external content through papers at conferences and other speaking events.
Ensure proper assessment of risk and compliance – we expect this role to appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Desired Qualifications
15+ years relevant experience in payments, merchant acquiring, sales/commercialization, pricing and growth. Ability to manage/influence a team.
Comfort engaging in both business/commercial and product/technical discussions.
Strong growth mindset coupled with dDeep client empathy and ability to solution with clients to address their needs.
Strong ability to influence a wide array of stakeholders across functions.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
