Global Finance Quality Assurance Head of Report Owner Engagement & Strategy - C15 (Hybrid)
The Report Owner Engagement & Strategy Sr Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an intergral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.
Function Overview:
The Report Owner Engagement & Strategy team is a core pillar of the QATV function, within the CBNA CFO & Finance Transformation organization. The team serves as the central point of engagement for all regulatory and management report owners, driving the alignment of testing strategies with regulatory expectations, report-specific risk profiles, and enterprise-wide priorities. This team leads the execution of QATV’s stakeholder engagement strategy, communication planning, capacity management, and cross-report coordination for testing metrics, issues, and emerging trends. With a strong mandate to build a cohesive operating model across in-scope reports, the team plays a vital role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and regulatory alignment.
Role Overview:
The Head of Report Owner Engagement & Strategy will lead a global team responsible for shaping and executing the strategic engagement model with report owners across Liquidity, Capital, Risk, and GAAP domains. This leader will serve as the voice of QATV to the reporting community, helping ensure clear communication of testing expectations, delivery timelines, results, metrics, and thematic insights. In partnership with peers across Testing, Governance, and Program Execution, this individual will also coordinate change management and exception tracking and drive the design and continuous improvement of key communications, engagement routines, and stakeholder feedback loops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a global team of engagement managers, regulatory liaisons, and communications professionals responsible for managing relationships with report owners and business stakeholders
- Develop and maintain QATV’s enterprise-wide communication and engagement strategy, ensuring alignment to regulatory expectations and senior management priorities
- Drive strategic alignment between QATV and key stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Controllers, and Enterprise Functions, ensuring
- Manage and optimize stakeholder touchpoints, including executive forums, monthly report owner summits, line of defense forums, and thematic feedback sessions, developing a cohesive community
- Establish and track KPIs related to report engagement, communications impact, stakeholder satisfaction, and readiness metrics
- Monitor and measure performance across QATV and impact of the overall strategy
- Support sprint-level coordination activities in partnership with Testing teams, including stakeholder notification, data readiness, and delivery timelines
- Own content development for senior leadership updates, including QATV testing insights, cross-report trends, and issue themes
- Oversee headcount forecasting, resourcing models, and prioritization frameworks for QATV globally
- Provide leadership and direction for the development of consistent playbooks, templates, and guidance used across the engagement lifecycle
- Partner with the Governance and Controls team to align communication and issue escalation processes with governance protocols
- Serve as the senior point of contact for complex stakeholder issues and escalations, offering judgment, context, and resolution strategies
- Lead the alignment to BCBS compliance across QATV, proactively partnering with groups across the enterprise to set and achieve goals
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in finance, regulatory reporting, or quality assurance within a global financial institution
- Prior experience leading stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, or transformation initiatives across complex reporting ecosystems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated experience working across Finance, Risk, and Compliance functions in a regulated environment
- Strong program management, organizational planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline, able to pivot across short- and long-term priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence) is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Communications, or a related discipline; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP) preferred
