The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi’s financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to contribute to directional strategy as well as utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to provide advice/counsel on the evaluation of financial reports of Citi’s current and projected performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead creation of Citi financial reports and liaise with finance teams to provide a summary of financial trends and insight to senior management
  • Lead analysis of forecasts, strategic and operating plans, and create monthly outlooks in partnership with segment, business, and country financial planning and analysis teams
  • Prepare analytics in support of CEO Reviews including business initiatives
  • Lead analysis of Citigroup’s product profitability
  • Develop relationships with key partners and senior management to influence behavior and decision making
  • Prepare presentations and analysis for the team and in support of the CFO
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience within financial services
  • Experience providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi-year forecasts, and annual budgets
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in additional systems including Oracle, Essbase, and SAP
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

The FP&A Forecast Execution group plays a critical role in assessing oversight to all Citi’s forecasting processes.  At the core is Citi’s Quarterly Multi-year, Multi-scenario Forecasting (QMMF).  QMMF contains up to 3 scenarios run each quarter, 1 Business as Usual to support the Operating Plan development and progress and 2 hypothetical macroeconomic stress scenarios to support Citi’s management of capital adequacy.  QMMF process consists of 14 workstreams, working across Finance, Risk Management the businesses, and other corporate functions, the role of Forecast Execution is to ensure deliverables and commitments and met in accordance with execution calendar and QMMF submission is submitted on time and with adequate controls to CFO and the Board.

Role Outline/Job Summary

The role requires the individual to be the central coordinator across all 14 workstreams involved in QMMF process to ensure delivery of all QMMF activities during submission.  This will require the successful candidate to actively manage the QMMF process through daily check in and status reporting across a large group of stakeholders, managing risks and escalations accordingly and being the central point of control to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Host daily calls with over 200+ QMMF stakeholders to assess deliverable status, identify potential risks and facilitate cross-workstream engagement.
  • Conduct daily triage calls with workstream leads to prioritize and address urgent and actionable items.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks or issues across workstreams to ensure timely and accurate forecasting.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the centralized forecasting process, facilitating coordination and understand of interactions and dependencies in the QMMF process.
  • Provide daily and weekly reporting metrics and updates on the execution status of QMMF to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage the Control process for Execution deliverables change management.  Ensure correct governance and approvals are in place for calendar changes.
  • Oversight of the creation of detailed run-books in workflow tool Halo.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and articulate business requirements for the development and enhancement of workflow tool, Halo, used for calendar management.
  • Manage UAT and process enhancements for Halo workflow tool.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
