The Banking CB Analyst NE is an intermediate level position responsible for driving the client dialogue on capital structure; liability management; liquidity and funding strategies; risk management; and investment solutions. Unique to Citi, Corporate Bankers are also responsible for deciding where to invest the firm's capital and executing on those investments. Corporate Bankers work in partnership with various Citi groups across the firm including Risk Management, Investment Banking, and the Capital Markets Organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accounting and financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and capital markets analysis
  • Complete fundamental risk and credit analysis
  • Liaise with product partners
  • Assist in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients
  • Structure deals and transactions
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Citi is seeking a Full Time Analyst for its Commercial Real Estate Finance Group, within the Corporate Banking division. This group is focused on originating, structuring, marketing, and executing secured and unsecured financings for publicly and privately traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), sponsor funds, developers, C-corps as well as hotel management companies. Transactions include corporate credit facilities, financing in connection with initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, bridge loans, and leveraged buyouts.

We're committed to teaching you the ropes. The 2-year Analyst Program starts in July and begins with a 10-week, in-depth training program. While you're in the Analyst role, you're eligible to participate in Citi's mentorship program, which will provide further training and guidance during and after the Program. By the third year of the program, Analysts will have the opportunity to take advantage of internal mobility opportunities.

The group focuses on real estate properties and developments in diverse industries, such as hospitality, retail, office, industrial, data centers, healthcare, self-storage and other property types within the commercial real estate industry. The applicant will work with various groups across the firm to originate, structure, syndicate, and close transactions.

Your time here will look something like this

* Collect and analyze company information to assist transactions; including conducting industry research; revising; and organizing financial data * Analyze financial data and develop financial models including company valuations; discounted cash flow analysis; financing; and comparative analyses * Create and finalize new business development presentations * Coordinate tasks with internal and external working teams * Prepare required internal documentation e.g. control and compliance regulations

You are graduating between December 2024 and June 2025 and have a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above.
