Banker
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Assist clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. Act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients. Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development, and overall growth of the firm. Work closely with clients on financing transactions and guide them through the capital raising process, including coordinating due diligence and drafting sessions and preparing them for an equity or debt offering. Work with clients, senior-level team members, and outside professional advisors on M&A and special situation transactions. Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and presentations. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation performing financial analyses and preparing financial models. Six (6) years of experience must include: Performing economic analysis through research of latest economic trends, fiscal policies, and market evolution in the LATAM region to understand client needs and provide solutions; Coordinating strategic projects and executing mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) for large corporations headquartered in Latin America, foreign corporations with existing operations in the region, or corporations who wish to begin operations in Latin America; Developing presentations, identifying and reflecting the main strategic topics, developing marketing materials as part of deal executions, and identifying and elaborating each businesses’ investment highlights including interest for a potential acquirer in an M&A transaction or an equity or debt investor; Assisting senior bankers in both internal coordination of strategic workstreams and sourcing new clients and growing relationships with existing clients through the development, execution, and presentation of pitching materials to win M&A, equity, and debt issuance mandates across different industries; Drafting documentation for internal processes and marketing materials including Confidential Information Memoranda for M&A transactions, Offering Memoranda, Analyst Presentations, and Roadshow Presentations for equity and debt transactions; and Performing financial analyses and preparing detailed financial models including an operating buildup, debt, and capital expenditures projections as well as financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement to perform a discounted cash flow valuation.
