Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of executing to milestones and budget on one or more projects.
  • Assess creation of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.
  • Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and confirm project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand project schedule and key milestones..
  • Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Ensure vendor performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants.
  • Provides sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Directly affects the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience
  • Prior industry experience.
  • Fully knowledgeable on the day-to-day activities of a product or process; Basic understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics ; Individual is expected to be subject area expert in one (or more) specific skill sets
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred


This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

The Loans Operations teams support all lending activity for Corporate and Commercial clients of the bank across North America, Latin America, EMEA and Asia. The Loan IQ Ops Readiness APAC  lead will be responsible for understanding and supporting the transformation efforts across Loan Operations driven by the implementation of a new commercial banking lending system - Loan IQ.

This role will require thorough understanding of strategic direction of the lending business as the organization transitions from the historical Flexcube processing environment to the Loan IQ platform.  Specifically, the position requires the ability to understand how that transition relates to the Operations team’s ability to support business strategy and growth through a system transition, while designing and building new operational, risk and control processes.

The LIQ Ops Readiness Lead will support the design and execution of numerous operations implementation efforts: integration with front office systems, new process, procedures and training efforts to cover all operational requirements, and ongoing integration with tech teams as new functions are built and tested.  They will have to develop strong working partnerships across operations functional areas, with business leads, and with numerous technology teams to effectively manage and support the Loans Operations transformation.

Excellent influencing and communication skills required in order to negotiate internally across the business and with technology partners, often at a senior level.

Responsibilities

Overall:  Accountable for supporting change across APAC Loan Operations based on program and plan scope; provides inputs into functionality and scope prioritization.

Overall Focus Area Summary:  Support implementation of changes across Global Loans in APAC necessary to transition to the Loan IQ system - with a focus on transition from current state to processing with Loan IQ

  • Build and support relationship with the local Operations team sin various countries across the region.  Coordinate new operations requirements throughout testing and implementation
  • Connect point with central Ops Readiness team to implement new processes and procedures as Loan IQ is implemented

Qualifications

6-10 years relevant experience in financial services or similar industry

Banking lending line or platform experience- Loan IQ is required

Proven track record in application implementation and system integration across multiple platforms.  Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes is key

Background and/or exposure to testing financial systems and understanding of operations processes

Strong analysis and documentation skills

Project and program management experience a plus

Strong oral and written communicator

Demonstrated ability to assess complex issues, structure potential solutions, and drive to resolution with operations staff and senior stakeholders.

Team player with strong influencing and partnering skills who can handle strong personalities at all levels of the company

Track record of managing work to achieve milestones on time and within budget in a high-pressure environment

· Analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal and follow up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

· Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and industry standard project management tools.

Finance, Business Administration or Engineering bachelor’s degree preferred
