Finance Reporting Analyst-C10_mumbai
The Finance Reporting Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
Facilitate the implementation of procedures and the development of analyses and reports
Deliver routine and defined outputs
Escalate problems or issues related to transactions, processes, reports, or procedures
Integrate established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
0-2 years of previous experience preferred
Experience in Finance, Financial Services or Accounting Internship preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Detail oriented
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

The Genesis Finance Reporting Analyst is the position responsible to perform reconciliation, research and analysis also supports submission and closure of financial books in accordance with (US GAAP). The overall objective of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reports in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform reconciliation, research and analysis for various Citigroup Products, also accountable to produce accurate submissions to Citi financials (US GAAP), USRRI, and Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) review for OCC Commitment products.
- Support submission and closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period.
- Ensure all adjustments are accurately calculated, documented with valid supports and posted within established timelines as per BSS Global Directives for Genesis.
- Dealing with Multiple Senior stakeholders from Country Finance, GPO, Product Control, Treasury & Operations, FRSS etc. to provide robust operational environment with effective business communication. Provide necessary support to team manager for concurrent & regulatory audit queries.
- Escalate issues related to transactions, processes, reports, or procedures as well as monitor progress/changes and keep senior leadership informed of unusual financial activities.
- Independently assess & report any potential risk to Citi Balance sheet and P&L, perform balance sheet reconciliation & substantiation of accounts as per BSS GLOBAL directives with remit to ensure integrity of Citi Financial statements.
- Conducting proactive review discussion with Global Balance Sheet Control Group in Account Review Forum (ARF) supports in reduction of balances, which are potential risks to Citigroup Financials.
- Work with a team to identify and implement process improvement initiatives or standardizations.
Qualifications:
- Previous relevant experience in financial accounting, reconciliation & analysis preferred.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictates.
