Communications and Business Management Lead, SVP
The Business Management Lead is a manager position responsible for driving the overall administrative activities for the Technology Chief Operating Office functions. This role will lead, manage, and coach a team of staff responsible for driving key priorities and strategies, managing strategic initiatives, leading central business processes, managing and monitoring key metrics, and stewarding function resources for Technology Chief Operating Office (Tech COO) functions.
Responsibilities:
·Oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and governance of operations, human resources and compliance with firm-wide and Technology & Business Enablement policies and procedures, leveraging business execution tools (systems, processes, workflows, procedures) and anticipated changes
·Develop, refine and implement Business Execution strategy and execution for Tech COO including business management, strategic initiatives, process simplification, and other duties as required to ensure overall quality and efficiency of operating model
·Ensure strategic goals that guide future growth and development of the function are prioritized and translated into action plans with key measurements to monitor progress
·Leverage the efforts of various operational areas to ensure minimal duplication of efforts, maximum efficiency and to maximize value for money
·Build relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and colleagues at all levels to ensure correct focus and direction for Tech COO, and serve on external committees where applicable
·Monitor strict adherence to governance and ensure risks are addressed, setting high standards of professionalism
·Conduct management responsibilities for multiple teams, including management of people, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, etc.
·Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
·10+ years of experience in communications and presentations to leadership
·Accomplished change leader, can execute flawlessly in ambiguous and changing environments and demonstrates both a flexible and resilient approach
·Must possess vision and passion for the transformation of Technology function
·Managerial experience
·Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and organizations – pushes self and colleagues to higher levels of performance by actively listening and engaging in constructive dialogue.
·Treats people with respect and assumes the intentions of others are based on common purpose and shared goals
·Demonstrated ability to manage and drive large scale, complex business initiatives –taking initiatives from concept to execution.
·Ability to balance strategic thinking with process-oriented execution, with a high attention to detail and quality on both internal team work and external products delivered to the market
·Strategic, analytical, and systematic thinker who consistently pushes the status quo and constructively challenges the team to drive change and continuous improvement and innovation
