The Agile Delivery Lead will be a hybrid role across Agile facilitation and Program Delivery oversight.  This individual will be the primary facilitator for multiple Agile Development Teams, fostering an environment which is conducive to effective project delivery, ensuring agile practices are followed, helping to manage team dynamics and removing impediments. The ADL will also perform Scaled Agile leadership and Agile Program Management – overseeing the coordination and delivery of multiple Agile Programs and ensuring they align with strategic business objectives. They will facilitate large scale releases and provide the bridge between horizontal and vertical structures between Dev teams and Feature teams. This person will also be interfacing regularly with senior business stakeholders and supporting backlog and priority management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion delivery of Agile Projects from inception to production liaising with Business and technical stakeholders

  • Work with development teams to assess their current Agile maturity, and partner with them to establish consistent models, processes and ways of working that will improve their software delivery experience

  • Be the key point of contact linking multiple development teams and supporting cross FX prioritisation

  • Work with business teams to maintain the backlog and assess priorities on a frequent basis

  • Scope work and create plans in Excel or Jira, breaking out tasks, owners, dates, milestones and RAG statuses

  • Chair meetings with application developers and with stakeholders, ranging from daily scrums to weekly updates to ad-hoc technical workshops

  • Where required, also act as the Project Manager, updating PTS and maintaining statuses

  • Take and circulate meeting minutes – including tracking attendees, key discussion points and action log

  • Create or update powerpoints where applicable, such as slides for project updates, or to input into Operating Committees and Steering Committees

  • Hosting of Operating Committees if / where applicable and presenting in other forums

  • Input into the central Program team governance processes and best practices ensuring high standard Project and Program management

Experience:

  • Understanding of technology and the application development lifecycle

  • Experience working with developers and technical teams

  • Experience managing complex Agile Technology Projects involving technical teams and many moving parts

  • Experience with Agile and related methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, including ceremonies (daily stand ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) and planning mechanisms (epics, user stories, sprints)

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Ability to design and implement suitable meetings and processes per team requirements and structure

  • Ability to understand complex systems and flows

  • Stakeholder management

  • Microsoft office suite experience with Excel and Powerpoint

  • Experience in FX or another Markets area is beneficial

Understanding of financial services industry is beneficial

About The Team

The FX Technology Programme Delivery team is focussed on driving delivery and execution of Projects and Programmes within FX Technology. We work with each of the technology teams across FX including e-Trading, Sales Technology and e-Commerce; also interfacing with the business counterparts that make up FX technology’s major stakeholders. Our mission is to enable the technology teams to deliver great software and regularly deliver value to the business through planned initiatives both short and long term. We will drive and support execution of technical projects and programmes, which could include initiatives such as digitalisation, simplification, automation, introduction of new products and migration activities. In particular we will focus on efficiency, breaking complexity into manageable chunks, embracing Agile ways of working and providing project structure and support in a way that feels liberating to all involved.
