Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the loans are properly recorded in the business’ pipeline tracking system as well as the credit risk systems of the bank and that they are updated promptly as the deal progresses. 
  • Coordinating closing logistics with the deal teams, Loan Operations, counsel, etc.
  • Notifying key parties about pending changes to deal or timing. 
  • Ensuring that approvals and all required documentation are complete prior to deal closing.
  • Assisting deal teams with time sensitive, ad hoc deal related issues, and reporting requirements.
  • Managing EMEA Bookrunner League Table submission and reconciliation.
  • Working with Technology to enhance front-end business systems.
  • Assisting with High Yield and Loan P&L review process.
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional meetings
  • Develop analytics and reporting to track effectiveness of process and identify potential process improvements
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Prior loan experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong interest in the capital markets and loan syndications.
  • Strong analytical skills (e.g. economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar background)
  • Strong organization and computer skills (excel, word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent follow up skills and the ability to multi-task in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

Education

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
