Team/Role Overview

SL upstream engagement & data investigation team is part of Strategic Ledger program in Citi and its one of the large transformation projects in banking industry to build single accounting & ledger system for all Citi products and transactions [Oracle SaaS]. Our main responsibility to onboard new products into SL by legal entity including data sourcing, connectivity, Product analysis, data quality check and data profiling and reporting.

Joining this team will give potential opportunity understand and work wider Citi products, Oracle SaaS components [ERP/GL/AFCS/EDMCS/AHCS], building data governance capabilities and data investigation.

What you’ll do

• Individual who joining the role expected to do the following,
• Work closely with finance and upstream product team to onboard legal entity wise journals into SL system.
• Work with product team and internal strategic ledger team to standardize and onboard the products.
• Work with partner system for data investigation, data quality issues, data fixes and data cleansing.
• Work with internal QA team to validate balances, fixes for new Products.
• Work with internal SL data governance team to build Data profiling, catalogue, lineage and DQ capability for new Products.
• Work with internal and external product team to establish connectivity and automation.
• Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. As this is global program, candidate expected to work with team in India and US.
• Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within finance Accounting and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.

What we’ll need from you

We expect the following qualification, and skills required for this job,

Skills:

• Experience and in-depth business analyst knowledge of different Products like [loans, payments]
• Work experience in accounting & ledgers concepts, Multi GAAP, refinance and accounting rules
• Experience in a finance accounting technology role with commensurate people management experience
• Experience in Abinitio ETL technologies
• Good understanding of Data governance elements like, data quality, Data lineage and Data catalogue
• Experience in leadership skills, managing people and work with various internal product owners.
• Basic skillset on budgeting and auditing

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
