Team/Role Overview

The Operations Optimisation and Enablement team (“OOE”) sits within the Operations Division which is part of the Chief Operating Office.   OOE partners with operations functions in defining strategy and associated operating models and managing program execution.  We are solutions oriented and leverage deep domain expertise to make an impact across all core operations functions.  

What you’ll do

The SSI Utility Solutions Lead is accountable for the design and delivery of an SSI utility function which will service firmwide payment and settlement processes.  The role holder will:

  • Conduct current state analysis of all SSI functions, processes and tooling across Citi’s products and geographies

  • Using domain knowledge and expertise, define common standards for SSI set up and maintenance and design a scalable target operating model to support those processes. 

  • Engage stakeholders across product and functional domains to drive adoption of the SSI utility

What we’ll need from you

  • Experience in a related role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.

  • Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification.

  • Domain knowledge and expertise of SSI and payment processes and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of banking operations including regulatory requirements and reengineering. People management skills. High level of discretion and judgment in the application of reengineering principles.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Ability to rationalize and work through organizational change. Proven track record in terms of evaluating process performance across key metrics and envisioning ways to reengineer the process to create significant improvement across all key variables.

  • Ability to influence and engage in a consultative mode with various senior stakeholders across business, operations, technology and compliance to define the strategic scope, a problem solving approach and engage a team that effectively will lead the reengineering process to achieve the envisioned results.

  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in multiple locations, including senior managers. High potential employee with focus on delivery.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset
