By Joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Team/Role Overview:

Citi Services is one of Citi’s five interconnected businesses and at the heart of Citi’s global network. Citi Services includes Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) and Securities Services. TTS provides an integrated suite of Liquidity, Payments and Trade/Working Capital solutions to multinational corporations, financial institutions, public sector organizations and increasingly mid-sized corporate clients. Securities Services provides global institutional clients a wide range of solutions, including custody, fund services, execution services and issuer services.

Capital optimization is a critical area for Citi and represents a significant challenge facing the financial services industry. As a firm, our ability to effectively lead in this area will be a significant determinant of our future competitiveness. It also helps satisfy a regulatory requirement for enhanced connection between strategic planning and capital planning.

Balance Sheet and Capital Management (BSCM) is a specialized team responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient use of Services’ balance sheet with the goal of improving return on capital measures.

The Capital Allocation and Management Platform Design VP will work across multiple business lines and technology to “bring to life” a Services-wide capital optimization platform containing key tools, analytics, and data infrastructure that will allow Services to embed capital optimization into every-day decision making across all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will report to Head of BSCM, Trade & Working Capital Solutions and combine business strategy, financial analysis, and technical specification development to design the platform, partner with technology/analytics in development, and then promote usage.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Product, Sales, Technology, and Management to identify needs, validate pain points, and codify user requirements to design the features and architecture for a brand new platform for managing Services' capital allocation decisions at a Client-level.
  • This role will be responsible for all aspects of Services’ capital allocation platform design and development and the delivery and adoption of the solution.
  •  Lead ideation, technical development, and launch of models to administer a data-driven approach to allocate Service’ capital.
  • Direct project prioritization, future state planning and strategic direction.
  • Promote self-service platform use for every-day decision making, and democratize access to data and transparency of outcomes to teams.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Relevant experience in Product Development, Application Development or as a Financial or Systems Analyst-type role.
  • Analytical problem solver with the ability to design data-driven technology solutions to answer business problems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to interact and drive usage across C-levels.
  • Familiarity with client perspective as well as banking solutions and products.
  • Awareness of bank capital regulation and bank liquidity regulation.
  • Expertise in data analytics and working with data visualisation tools e.g. Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, SAS, SPSS, and other statistical tools required to lead analytic projects and guide offshore teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience;  Master’s degree preferred.
