Team/Role Overview:
The Global Funds Transfer Product Manager is a senior level role responsible for the Global Funds Transfer program to ensure compliance with internal AML policy across the Payments business. The role holder will drive the execution of the GFT remediation work in coordination with Operations, Technology, Controls and 2nd line AML partners. The overall objective for this role is to ensure end-to-end oversight of GFT remediation execution as well as development of strategies to ensure sustainability. The Payments Global Funds Transfer Product Manager will report to the Global Head of Financial Crime Solutions, Payment Services.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee Global Funds Transfer workstream execution.
- Uplift of GFT Governance Framework to support the Global Monitoring Operating Model.
- Drive completion and maintenance of Funds Transfer Country Surveys.
- Contribute to driving the GFT Monitoring Model transition from interim state to strategic solution.
- Utilize information from global regulatory changes, new regulations, and internal policy changes to further identify new key risk areas.
- Establish and maintain relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi, as well as develop and ensure execution of the business strategy, and manage risk and compliance.
- Represent the GFT program at the respective oversight committees and risk forums.
- Oversee Internal Audits related to Global and Local Funds Transfer obligations.
What we’ll need from you:
- Significant relevant work experience within a medium or large Financial Institution, or regulatory body.
- Significant experience within payments and cash management businesses, with a particular focus on product management, development, operations, and technology functions.
- Knowledge of funds transfer laws and regulations, including a general and broad understanding of key AML risks required.
- Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services.
- Consistent demonstration of clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Aptitude to independently determine what is material, relevant and actionable.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with stakeholders in the business.
- Ability to ensure sound risk management practices while recognising and demonstrating sensitivity to competing interests.
- Ability to identify and assess the long-term effects of decisions and solutions on customers and the business.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred.
