The Investment Banking Associate is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

Responsibilities will include:

Work closely with an exceptional team of senior and junior bankers in executing market-defining M&A advisory and capital markets transactions
Leverage your previous experience to enhance our M&A execution and capital raising capabilities
Take on a meaningful client-facing role, playing an important part in client discussions as part of both execution and marketing
Manage and mentor analysts by providing guidance and feedback, managing information flow, and having oversight of the analysts with whom you are working
Demonstrate ownership of deal execution and marketing efforts, and assume responsibility for managing external and internal relationships
Contribute in a meaningful way towards the continued growth of Citi’s Healthcare franchise

As well as strong technical stills, candidates should have:

Ideally a university degree at either Bachelor or Masters level (including MBA)
Experience in Investment Banking and / or Private Equity is required (Healthcare experience is preferred, but not a prerequisite)
Technical experience including operational, financial, valuation and M&A analysis as well as relevant marketing materials for M&A and / or capital markets transactions
Clear, concise written and verbal communication abilities
Demonstrated problem-solving and organisational skills
