Description

The Head of Citigold / CPC Deposits, Asia North & Australia is responsible for managing a team of product managers, setting strategy and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management. This role is responsible for the development of product plans, strategies & tactics and for the overall delivery of financial targets, promoting deposits products to increase of market share; and support the achievement of business KPIs (New-to-bank Clients, Net New Money & Net New Investment Assets).

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy (and drive its execution) for the Citigold / CPC Deposit products for Wealth in the Asia North & Australia cluster.
  • Lead the strategic deposits product roadmap: Define and execute the "Product Roadmap" for Deposits. This includes: 1) identifying winning value propositions, innovations and areas for digitization; 2) securing and prioritizing the necessary investments/resources, 3) driving its delivery/implementation and 4) ensuring successful commercialization (client acquisition and deepening); in compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Accountable for delivering the expected business performance in terms of financials (profitability & liquidity), controls & compliance. Deliver Y/Y growth and optimize pricing of the deposits book (~$35 Billion dollars / annual revenues of ~$300 million dollars). Ensuring adequate level of balance sheet liquidity across each currency, meeting key internal and external ratios (such as Loan-to-Deposits; Interest Rate Risk of the Bank Book, etc.).
  • Manage a team of professional to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
  • Performance Management / Drive Results: Perform recurrent business reviews with cluster management to drive business performance; identifying opportunities and risks and defining/monitoring action plans.
  • Establish strong partnerships with internal parties (Digital Growth, Investment Advisory, Treasury, Finance, Global Common Technology, Operations, AML, Info-Sec, CAORC, ORM, IA, Compliance & Credit Risk) to drive results.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Ensure delivery of key Balance Sheet ratios, such as Deposit-to-Loans, product mix (affecting the Interest Rate Risk of the Bank Book ratio) for all currencies. Ensure fair transfer pricing and liquidity premiums / Local Incentive Premiums across all portfolios (for both sides of the balance sheet).
  • Participate in development of client valued propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Decision Making Authority - Act as decision maker in respect to client pricing for deposits ensuring that the Deposits Profitability targets are met. Strategically utilizing deposits pricing to: 1) drive client acquisition/growth in the target segments; 2) drive revenue growth in other lines of businesses (investments, insurance, FX) via subsidized bundles with Time Deposits and 3) ensure the required liquidity to fund assets is in place (currency mix).
  • Sponsor Deposits Product Programs.
  • Constant interaction with Sr. Leadership.
  • Obtain continuous alignment on Strategy and articulate/present business performance & raise potential Opportunities & Risks (identifying mitigating plans); during both key planning cycles (Plan, QMMF, Outlooks, etc.).
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Oversee system enhancement initiatives to enhance client experience and improve system resilience

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, specialized analytics, or related discipline
  • Experience with banking products, preferably in deposit products
  • In-depth knowledge of industry and competitor products/services
  • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
  • Ability to develop strategy, gather resources, and inspire a diverse set of individuals
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of deposits transfer pricing, client pricing, balance sheet management (including compliance with local and global regulatory ratios) and capital allocation
  • Proven track record in managing stakeholders locally & globally for driving business under various limitations

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
