Application Support Tech Lead Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Application Support Tech Lead Analyst for its Jersey City, NJ location.

Duties: Adopt new technologies and promote Site Reliability Engineer culture. Design, develop, and deploy various technology tools and Citi internal applications. Leverage Generative AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support capabilities. Participate in the development of a GenAI-powered chatbot aimed at streamlining tasks such as troubleshooting, query optimization, application-specific support, and observability tool onboarding. Help define and implement technology strategies, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance. Assist with designing and maintenance of a long-term roadmap for site reliability, ensuring alignment with business goals. Support innovation in engineering practices and continuously improve technology framework and tools. Collaborate with executives and department leads to align efforts with broader business objectives. Participate in capacity planning and scaling strategies to ensure systems can handle current and future demands. Automate repetitive tasks, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response, to improve efficiency and reduce human error. Implement and support performance monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and resolve potential issues. Ensure that all systems comply with relevant security standards and regulations, addressing vulnerabilities and risk proactively. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption in the event of system failures. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation maintaining and improving an application’s reliability, resiliency, scalability, and performance. Six (6) years of experience must include: Perform root cause analysis and implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, detect issues early, ensure system reliability, and reduce latency using Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Splunk and Open Telemetry; Work on applications developed using Java, Python, and Go Lang and hosted on Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Linux/Unix Systems; Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, Ansible and Jenkins to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in areas of Incidence response, deployments, and scaling; Focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Kubernetes to ensure consistency, scalability, and disaster recovery across AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure and on-premises environments; Optimize data workflows and storage using data warehousing platforms and Snowflake, Databricks, and Amazon Redshift to manage and analyze large datasets, ensure data reliability, and improve the performance of analytics pipeline and reporting systems; and Support version control and CI/CD pipelines using Github and Bitbucket to enable efficient collaboration, automate testing and streamline deployments through integration with Github Actions, Jenkins and Bitbucket Pipelines. 40 hrs./wk.
