VP, Senior MIS Analyst/Developer - Operational Risk

The candidate is expected to work as the lead who can work independently - with minimal guidance.He/she will provide MIS support to various teams in the Mortgage Servicing Control teams and occasionally for business partners (Compliance, Internal Audit, Credit Risk, etc). The candidate will be analyzing test/report requirements, profiling source data, and writing SAS and SQL codes to pull populations/samples for control reviews.

The primary objectives of this role will include:

  • Lead the overall MIS effort for Mortgage default servicing control department.
  • Setup/attend meetings with various business partners and MIS teams to define the requirements and identify source data points.
  • Translating control test requirements into technical terms and implement them in SAS logic to pull populations and statistically valid samples for the tests.
  • Write new SAS or SQL programs or update the existing ones to extract data.
  • Prepare the program logic policy document and submit the change to QA Management for its approval.
  • Quickly respond to IA queries and other higher level of requests to ensure data integrity in the process.
  • Conduct testing and analyze results to ensure extraction process returned the desired result and implement changes as needed.
  • Assist various units in uploading final output to the system.
  • Write simpler Unix Shell scripts required.
  • Add SAS programs to AutoSys scheduler for automation purpose.
  • Maintain data integrity of the populations and reports in the department to satisfy compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports as requested by the unit managers.
  • Assist in the development of the department’s final monthly reports for upper management and business partners, if requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working in a lead role in the data field.
  • Must have at least 6 years of experience with SAS & SQL coding.
  • Should know how to analyze the extracted data and develop analytical reports using SAS.
  • Should be able to read/write SAS macros for complex or repetitive tasks.
  • Should be experienced with the architecture of Operational Data Store (ODS) and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) so that he/she can pull the data with minimal guidance.
  • Must be experienced with Citi's major backend database systems (mainly Origination Empower, ODS Oracle and EDW Teradata.
  • Knowledge of UNIX basic commands and basic shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of AutoSys scheduling tool to automate jobs.
  • Knowledge of Python will be preferred.
  • Team player with good communication skills.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
