Reg W risk exists in nearly all Citi businesses and functions in any sectors where there are transactions or services between Bank chain entities and Corporate chain entities. This is an individual contributor role that supports the ongoing evolution of the Global Regulation W governance team with possible future expansion to other Tier 1 regulation support. Initiatives are often firm-wide and include data analytics and reporting, strategic initiatives / process reengineering or other cross-business programs.

This role requires the ability to apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies, strong attention to detail when making analytic judgments and recommendations, superior project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills to support development of presentation materials for senior management, the ability to build a network of partnerships with internal stakeholders, and some business knowledge. Candidates must have experience in complex problem solving, balancing multiple competing priorities, and working across multiple businesses and geographies.



Responsibilities:

  • Create quarterly Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) reports to track control performance and risk profile management for Tier 1 regulation programs, inclusive of meeting materials for use in various governance meetings.
  • Maintain oversight of ineffective controls and risks above tolerance thresholds, ensuring remediation plans are appropriately developed and documented within MCA.
  • Engage with business and function stakeholders to understand drivers of quarterly changes & trends in the Tier 1 regulation control environments, highlighting key items for management's awareness and action, as needed.
  • Provide credible challenge of MCA profiles for impacted businesses and functions relative to risk ratings, control performance ratings, obligation mapping, missing controls, and overall MCA data hygiene.
  • Partner with the Tier 1 Regulation Lead(s) and Regulation Champion(s) to promote and oversee control environment completeness relative to regulatory obligations.
  • Strategic and operational quantitative analysis and reporting of complex data sets.
  • Ability to understand the underlying data requirements, develop data-driven solutions and independently manage end-to-end communication with team, partners, and managers.
  • Identify and implement new technology and software tools to enhance analytic capabilities and improve project or information management.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in business risk and control, compliance and/or operational risk management, audit, ompliance or other related control function.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including extensive Excel skills for data analysis and production of quarterly reports compiled from multiple source systems.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of risk and control disciplines, standards, and associated gold source systems (Citi Risk & Control, iCAPs).
  • Inquisitive nature with advanced problem-solving ability; must be able to sift through large complex data sets and reports to interpret and identify issues clearly, draw meaningful conclusions and make business recommendations, based upon results of analysis.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships / business partnerships across multi-functional teams with competing priorities, as well as external sources.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills – ability to deal with people at all levels, articulating complex problems and solutions through concise, clear messaging.
  • Must excel in development of presentation materials and delivery of key risk and control messaging/materials for senior management.
  • Demonstrated advanced research and analytical skills, business acumen, strategic and creative thinking, project leadership skills and multi-tasking capabilities to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Provides well-reasoned, balanced assessments of issues and questions, in a timely fashion.
  • Strong process and project management skills including the ability to manage several large initiatives simultaneously.  Detail oriented, analytical.
  • Considers broad implications of decisions on different functions and units.  Thinks strategically and articulates concepts clearly.
  • Must have a strong willingness to learn and grow, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and contributing to high performing teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience in business, statistics, finance, computer science, data science, data analytics, business analytics, or related quantitative field required.
  • Masters degree a plus.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$144,480.00 - $216,720.00
