The Global Mobility Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the business Head of HR and the regional Reward & Mobility team and manage and develop the CEP Reward & Mobility Team.
  • Develops deliver and implement best in class reward policies and processes for the country franchise, aligned with the regional and global reward strategy.
  • Applies an in-depth technical expertise in Reward principles, practices and procedures in the completion of complex assignments with potential for broad business impact.
  • Supports the CEP Head of HR / Regional Reward team with the development and execution of the Country / Regional Reward plan incorporating the Regional Reward agenda and take the lead on HR projects to ensure the timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Works with Regional Reward & Mobility team to partner to integrate global and regional principles and practices into business across compensation, benefits (including pensions), mobility and regulatory matters.
  • Works closely with the Reward COE Leads and HRA’s to understand, agree and deliver the timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Acts as a member of the country HR Senior Leadership Team providing both business and HR policy/strategy input.
  • Ensures a detailed understanding of the compensation policies and practices in all Citi Regional businesses/countries.
  • Acts as a strategic HR partner, applying a thorough understanding and involvement in legal entity matters for the franchise, serving as key advisor and partner to Senior Managers in CEP on all aspect of Reward & Mobility.
  • Supports the process of ensuring that CEP Reward policies and processes are compliant with regulatory requirements, external reporting regulations and demonstrate best practice in terms of corporate governance, in partnership with global function partners and regional HR teams.
  • Understands and proactively manages risk and compliance and audit environment across all areas of work, by developing necessary policies/protocols, taking prime responsibility for Reward MCA, and mitigating operational, market and reputational risk from a HR perspective.
  • Appropriately assesses risk/reward relationships when making reward decisions.
  • Manages vendors and delivery of annual and ad hoc market research through use of external partners, recruitment agencies and industry contacts, particularly in the benefits arena.
  • Provides consultation and advice on M&A activity regarding Reward issues.
  • Supports business through mid-year and year-end compensation processes.
  • Provides guidance and advice to HR Business Partners and line managers for business areas supported.
  • Leads, manage and develop the Ireland Reward Team, ensuring direction, capacity and capability to successfully deliver Reward initiatives across the Country / CEP business.
  • Acts as the appropriate escalation point for the team and provide control oversight for advice and recommendations.
  • Supports the development of a positive and engaged team culture.
  • Works closely with the team to ensure the appropriate allocation of work across the team and the timely completion of tasks and projects in line with business requirements and annual goals.
  • Actively supports the development of the team, ensuring employee-driven development plans are in place for the team.
  • Delivers excellent client service through the team and work cohesively with the other team members to drive best practice.
  • Understands and proactively manages risk and compliance across all areas of work.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience


Education:

The Mobility Business Advisor will lead Mobility services across North America, Latin America and Europe to deliver best-in-class Mobility services to support Citi’s global workforce.

This individual will be responsible for end-to-end service delivery and mobility operations and will be accountable for the performance of Citi’s Mobility Team and the third parties that facilitate that delivery. Effective and practical mobility solutions that allow Citi to be agile, form a key part of our organizational resourcing strategy.  The role ensures Businesses can meet their talent agenda utilizing Citi’s mobility programs, while ensuring optimum levels of employee experience, cost efficiencies and compliance with internal frameworks and external legislation.

This individual will manage a global team of Mobility Business Partners and Mobility Specialists and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of internal mobility consulting across the organization.  The individual will also be responsible for the execution of vendor strategy in their cluster and contribute to a wide range of global initiatives that elevate the function and enhance general stakeholder experience. They support cluster specific activities where Mobility can contribute and add value.  The MBA will report to the Global Head of MI and will play a critical role in driving Citi’s global Mobility strategy and Mobility Program.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Global Leadership & Oversight: Lead and develop a high-performing global team.  Responsible for performance and development of Mobility Business Partners  and Mobility Specialists who seek opportunities for growth. Foster collaboration across geographies to drive consistency, performance, and shared best practices. Serve as the point of escalation for issues/concerns raised by HR, business manager and employee stakeholders.
  • Program Execution: Oversee the delivery of end-to-end mobility services, including expatriate and short-term assignments, international transfers, and domestic relocations, ensuring a high-touch, compliant, and cost-effective approach. Partner with other department leads to ensure successful execution of the Mobility Program, (e.g., Payroll, Tax, Travel, etc.).  Accountable for deliverables identified as part of MI leadership annual objective setting.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a strategic advisor to business and HR stakeholders. Understand business needs and guide team to offer  cost effective, practical solutions that enable and support mobility.
  • Vendor relationship & Delivery: Manage relationships with key external vendors (relocation, data provider, etc.) to ensure service delivery excellence, performance against SLAs, and alignment with evolving program requirements.  Identify opportunities for cost and service optimization.
  • Risk & Control: Ensure consistent program delivery achieved through following global framework. Identify and mitigate program risks through proactive control measures and governance. Assume Business Activity Owner (BAO) role for key Mobility vendor relationships to ensure third party risk and control requirements are met.
  • Program Governance: Partner with broader MI team, including Head of MI, to maintain and refresh mobility programs and frameworks that are globally consistent and reflective of industry best practices.  Actively seek opportunities for right placement of mobility activities, centralization, etc. where efficiencies can be achieved. Support Head of MI with team capacity planning, operating model design, and ad-hoc projects. Promote adherence to compliance with immigration, labor, employment and tax legislation (in partnership with legal, tax and local HR) on assignment structure and program design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree finished
  • Advanced English level
  • 10+ years of experience in global mobility, including strong leadership skills of international teams; adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work across cultures and geographies
  • Extensive knowledge of mobility, including policies, compensation and benefits, relocation, immigration and tax
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to innovate
  • Excellent organizational, strategic planning and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Strong communicator with customer focus, relationship building expertise, and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Experience managing external vendors and working with global service delivery models
