As a Test Analyst of User Acceptance Testing team, the person will reflect as an SME and be responsible for testing Global Fund Services Applications within Client Bank’s portfolio. The Test Analyst is responsible for interacting with Global IT, Business and Operations teams to provide a high quality of product to the internal and external clients and meet the agreed and expected service standards. The job role may involve management, coordination or contribution to one, few or all phases of STLC i.e. Test Planning, Design, Execution, Defect Management and Reporting.

The Test Analyst will perform testing activities for Global Fund Services applications across different functions of the bank and should be flexible to work in shifts.

Primary Responsibilities-

  • Perform functional test analysis, planning, design, execution and reporting for testing assignments.
  • For the specific testing project, support the Project Manager(s) and Test Manager by contributing to the Test Plan(s) for the relevant test phases, the Test Readiness Reviews, test progress reporting, the Test Completion/Summary Reports and Test Defect Reports
  • Prepare where required: Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Scripts, and Test Data for a given testing assignment.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders or other groups in preparation and execution of the planned functional testing.
  • Play a lead role in the analysis and reporting of test results, working closely with business, technology and support areas to investigate and interpret test findings.
  • Develop and extend collaborative working relationships with technology suppliers and operational support areas in order to quickly understand requirements, resolve problems/issues, suggest solutions and identify areas for service improvement.
  • Track the schedule and testing progress and be accountable for the tasks and releases.
  • Participate in peer reviews and Manage triage calls with technology & operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of the assigned tasks.
  • Highlight and track defects and ensure that they are fixed before project implementation Act as a backup of test lead.

Testing Skills

  • Exposure to structured software development lifecycle methodologies, preferably agile models
  • Ability to transform requirements to Business Scenarios & Requirement Traceability Matrix
  • Ability to create Test artifacts like Test Cases, scripts etc.
  • Expert in Testing Tool - JIRA or any other Test/Bug Management tools.
  • Experience in different types of testing like functional, regression, black box testing etc.
  • Ability to manage E2E Testing, Defect Management and Reporting

Domain Competencies

  • Extensive knowledge of Investment Banking Business
  • Profound understanding of trade lifecycle and financial Instruments
  • Good knowledge on Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Pricing, Transfer Agency, Collateral, Reconciliation, Mutual Fund, & ETF functions
  • Capability to support the team of Product Business Analysts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with cross functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative approach towards achieving results.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Drives Innovative approach towards identifying and implementing process improvement ideas.

Desirable -

  • Knowledge of Agile-Scrum framework, Test Automation tools like Selenium, UFT, QTP etc.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications
  • Experience in application like MOM, MOTO, Multifonds & Calypso is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Developer and Macros

Qualification & Experience-

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or commerce
  • 3-5 years of experience in testing lifecycle in Investment Banking domain
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Securities and Fund Services domain
