Department Description

The Non-Trading Market Risk (NTMR) Operations within Treasury Chief Administrative Office (CAO) is responsible for reporting, analytics and data quality controls related to the firm’s Interest Rate Risk on Banking Book (IRRBB) and Credit Spread Risk arising from non-trading book activities (CSRBB). NTMR Operations’ main responsibilities include:

  • Perform the monthly IRR reporting and analytics for Citigroup/CBNA as well as +70 IRRBB units at both legal entity and business level
  • Lead data error identification, notification and adjustments
  • Limit monitoring of IRR metrics
  • Design, implement and monitor data quality controls in the IRR platform (RUBY)
  • Provide oversight and governance for RUBY data quality and production to ensure it fits for purpose
  • Manage the production and execution of the Ruby Data Forum, which increases transparency for critical deliverables and establishing a robust governance process 
  • Work closely with multiple groups within Treasury, Finance Chief Data Office, FP&A, and Technology to drive improvements in upstream data quality, enhance controls, and ensure successful process execution

Job Description

The Governance, Program and Project Management  Lead Analyst sits within the Treasury organization and works closely with stakeholders to define, drive, and execute end-to-end process design and implementation efforts for processes, controls, infrastructure, and operational toolsets. These efforts are required to support the day-to-day functions of the Non-Trading Markets Risk Operations team with a focus on Interest Rate Risk Management and Credit Spread Risk including various initiatives to improve overall reporting efficiencies.

This is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other departments. Accountable for significant direct business results or advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities

  • Help contribute to the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the MCA through controls prior to the execution of a process (QC).
  • Assist in the monitoring of the adherence to the MCA Standard through controls after the execution of a process (QA).
  • Supporting NTMR Operations in implementing initiatives to ensure compliance with governance and control requirements
  • Maintaining effective control framework around regulatory reporting
  • Collaborating with Citi Treasury Global Process Owner office to ensure a consistent approach with Global regulatory engagements
  • Proactively identify, quantify, measure, and monitor actual and emerging operational, model and regulatory risk items
  • Lead and track projects and commitments and provide status updates to senior management.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferred
  • Well versed with the Bank's Treasury function
  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and their interconnection to achieve necessary objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills required to partner with other groups, facilitate discussion internally, and be a driver of conversations for key initiatives/ budget conversations.
  • Proficient presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating complex ideas and engaging senior-level audiences.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Advanced technical skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau tools.
  • Bachelors degree required.

Please Note: This is a hybrid position that requires working 3 days per week onsite at our Buffalo location. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$92,000.00 - $138,000.00
