VP, Finance Accounting Lead Analyst
Geographic Revenue Attribution (GRA) is the sharing of Revenue between Citi Legal Entities within a Business Segment and involves cash settlement between Legal Entities. GRA Transfer Pricing is part of Tax and Transfer Pricing & Revenue Charge-outs Controllers within Financial and SEC Reporting.
This position is both Operational & Strategic in nature. The individual is responsible for the End-to-End Execution of GRA Processes & Controls and compliance with the GRA Standard and MCAs. This role also requires working closely with Business and Country Controllers and Global Tax Teams on the rollout and enhancements to new and existing processes.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- End-to-End Responsibility for Markets GRA Revenue Transfer Pricing including:
- Governance & Oversight of the Markets GRA Process run by Mumbai GRA Team
- Effective Controls to ensure accurate and complete GRA reporting in Citi’s books and records, Reg W Reporting, and cash settlement.
- Review, approval, and execution of Markets GRA manual adjustments.
- Communication of results to stakeholders including the investigation and resolution of any queries.
- Process Documentation
- Inbound Data Accuracy and Completeness Controls (e.g. EV from CARD, Revenues & Expenses from Pearl Financials)
- Ensuring Markets GRA processes and controls are always compliant with GRA Standard and relevant Inter-Affiliate Policies (e.g. Reg W)
- Maintenance and Controls around any EUC’s used.
- Execution of all ARCM requirements for controls testing and monitoring
- Partnering with Buffalo and London Corporate Function Controllers in developing automated solutions and digital tools to replace existing manual processes.
- Identify infrastructure enhancements required to support any pricing updates or GRA methodology changes required by Inter-Affiliate Pricing Controllers or Corporate Tax Functions.
This position requires close partnership with the GRA & Charge-Out APS Finance Teams in Mumbai, Buffalo and London Corporate Function Controllers, Business CFO Teams, FP&A, Tax, Business Controllers, and APS / GRACE technology partners in designing, implementing, and executing best practice operational processes to ensure proper Revenue Transfer Pricing Governance and Process Execution.
GRA is an integral part of Citi’s Reporting Strategy as Legal Entity, Tax, and Regulatory Reporting in every Country is directly impacted by it.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Inter-Affiliate Transfer Pricing, Controllers, FP&A with a business focus on Markets Products is preferred, however candidates with relevant experience in Financial Reporting, or CFO / LFO function will be considered.
- Strong technical understanding of Markets Products and APS Intercompany Booking Flows as well as detailed operational knowledge of Product Processors, Finance Operating Ledgers, and Finance Reporting systems is preferred.
- Good understanding of Segment and Legal Entity Reporting as well as Inter-Affiliate Transfer Pricing requirements – including Legal Entity, Management Reporting, and Accounting Principles.
- Ability to work with different levels of management, and a consistent track record in leading sustained change and change management efforts.
- Able to construct effective solutions that meet cross-functional demands, understanding the cross functional implications of solutions proposed and not “thinking in a silo”.
- Indirect leadership skills – proven track record of influencing behaviour and driving change in partner organizations who are not under direct supervision who may at times have conflicting interests.
- Excellent communication skills to cater for a wide range of audiences. Able to pitch presentations and communications at the appropriate level for the audience being addressed.
- Works as a Partner - Proven track record and history of establishing good working relationships across functions. Decisive and convincing, without being confrontational.
- Ability to innovate and champion progress for efficiency and productivity.
- Sense of urgency in implementing processes and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented and practical.
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented with ability to lead in a professional and challenging environment and deliver results against fast-paced deliverable deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding time frames and respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.
- Technologically savvy – Proficiency Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of automation and presentational tools such as Tableau and KNIME is not essential but would be useful.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Master in business administration (MBA)/ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent combination of education
- 6-10 years of experience in accounting management with commensurate stakeholder management experience
