The Risk Reporting Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare regular and time sensitive analytics, visualizations, and reports for risk managers and senior management.
  • Prepare detailed quantitative modeling and analysis for risk managers and senior management.
  • Synthesize and communicate complex risk exposures and metrics.
  • Synthesize and communicate complex risk models and results.
  • Analyze, implement, and automate underlying data, data flows, and data controls to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Conduct statistical analysis, quantitative modeling, and model risk controls.
  • Work with risk managers, businesses, modelers, and tech to design and build analytical applications.
  • Work with risk managers, businesses, and tech to design and build models for risk capture and stress testing.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or master’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, sciences, or other related technical disciplines.
  • Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala in a Unix/Linux environment. Coding in Python, R, SAS (or related statistics programs) preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to apply sophisticated mathematical/analytical techniques to solve real-world problems.
  • Skills in data, analytics, databases, data quality. Experience in Tableau, PowerBI or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of or interest in finance, markets, risk management. Prior experience not required.

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, and quantitative finance.
  • Master’s degree or higher in quantitative disciplines a plus.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$61,120.00 - $85,280.00
