The Fin Solutions Intmd. Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
  • Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
  • Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
  • Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
  • Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
  • Identifies and resolves problems using autonomous judgment.
  • Implements work flow or process change and redesign, and uses a thorough knowledge of the specific function.
  • Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as "owner".
  • Assists in the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures or products.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of experience
  • Proficient knowledge of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the goals of the area
  • Has working knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree

Geographic Revenue Attribution (GRA) is the sharing of Revenue between Citi Legal Entities within a Business Segment and involves cash settlement between Legal Entities. GRA Transfer Pricing is part of Tax and Transfer Pricing & Revenue Charge-outs Controllers.

The individual is responsible for the End-to-End Execution of GRA Processes & Controls and compliance with the GRA Standard and relevant external Regulatory Requirements. This role also requires working closely with Business and Finance partners on the rollout and enhancements to new and existing processes.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • End-to-End Responsibility for GRA and Revenue Transfer Pricing including:
    • Oversight and Processing of the GRA to Citi’s books and records, and cash settlement through APS (Allocations Processing System)
    • Review and Execution of any manual adjustments required.
    • Communication of results to stakeholders including the investigation and resolution of any queries.
    • Process Documentation
    • Inbound Data Accuracy and Completeness Controls
    • Ensuring RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix in the Standard Operating Procedures are complied with
    • Maintenance and Controls around any EUCs (End User Computing Spreadsheets) used.
    • Execution of all MCA (Manager Control Assessment) requirements for controls testing and monitoring
  • Identify infrastructure enhancements required to support GRA Calculations and Straight-Through-Processing (STP).

Skills Required:

  • Accounting and / or Finance Background
  • Ability to work with different levels of management, and a consistent track record in leading sustainable change and change management efforts.
  • Able to construct effective solutions that meet cross-functional demands, understanding the cross functional implications of solutions proposed and not “thinking in a silo”.
  • Excellent communication skills to cater for a wide range of audiences. Able to pitch presentations and communications at the appropriate level for the audience being addressed.
  • Works as a Partner - Proven track record and history of establishing good working relationships across functions. Decisive and convincing, without being confrontational.
  • Ability to innovate and champion progress for efficiency and productivity. Sense of urgency in implementing processes and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented and practical.
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with ability to lead in a professional and challenging environment and deliver results against fast-paced deliverable deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding time frames and respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.
  • Technologically savvy – Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of automation and presentational tools such as Tableau and KNIME is not essential but would be useful.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$61,120.00 - $85,280.00
