Responsibilities
TTS Global Payments & Receivables Technology is undergoing radical transformation through the rollout of a new strategic technology stack for Payments processing and this role is fundamental in delivering major enhancements within EMEA; enabling the business to achieve their growth ambitions will be the cornerstone of the project objectives.
The successful candidate will be strong technically and able to work with engineering teams to ensure the solutions implemented are in line with the strategic payments technology strategy. They will need to be highly detail-oriented and very comfortable operating in an agile delivery environment. They will need to have strong stakeholder management skills as the role will require them to engage with a broad and global set of technology, operations and product stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication is a key requirement of the role, as is the ability to plan effectively, identify and manage risk and control the project finances.
Good knowledge of Payments flows, whilst not a mandatory requirement, will be of great benefit given the level of engagement required with operational and product stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
The requirements and responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to) the following:
Drive the successful delivery of business critical payments projects for EMEA – ensuring the business expectation is always met or exceeded on requirements, time, cost, quality and control environment
Ensure the project leverages industry leading delivery methodologies by further improving the existing Scrum delivery in place
Ensure the project delivers in line with the the Programme and Product strategy and ensure that the ongoing scope continues to align to that strategy
Identify, understand and mitigate risk as required to keep the project on track
Drive a continuous improvement mind-set on delivery through use of retrospectives and follow through on identified inefficiencies
Work closely with Product and Operational partners to ensure the project covers all aspects required to be successful – technology, operational readiness and commercial readiness – with particular focus on client experience
Actively drive technology partners in other parts of the organisation to ensure the end-to-end aspects of the project are achieved – the project is dependent on many other teams so critical you are able to establish strong relationships with the relevant technology teams
Own the financials as though they are your own money – undertake well thought through budgeting and continual reviews to ensure the project remains on track to hit required budget
Report regularly on progress to a broad and global set of technology, operations and product stakeholders – ensure reporting is crisp, clear and ensure no surprises to stakeholders by undertaking constant dialogue
Ensure appropriate governance processes are followed in line with Citi’s project delivery standards – maintain good project discipline at all times
Engage proactively with Production Support to ensure that stability asks are understood and actively included in the Book of Work
Be proactive in ensuring the technical stack is evergreened and doesn’t incur technical debt
Skills:
Demonstrable experience in the delivery management of complex projects
Strong technical background – able to work with engineering teams to ensure the solutions implemented are in line with the payments technology strategy.
Experience in leading projects in an agile environment, implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery mind-set
Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with all levels of the organisation from junior developer to Director and flex the communication approach accordingly
Ability to understand and assess a strategy and ensure that the project objectives support that strategy
Continuous improvement mind-set which ensures a constant forward motion in the quality, timeliness and efficiency of delivery
Experience working in a global team whilst representing the regional context
Experience of working in financial institutions
A good understanding of Payments end to end flows will be highly beneficial
Qualifications:
Relevant education to degree level and/or relevant practical experience
SAFe certification would be beneficial.
