The Marketing Sr. Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with partner facing teams to understand and drive portfolio/marketing research engagements in support of product and loyalty innovation, digital integration, information security, and thought leadership.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership and guidance to identify, design and deliver actionable research findings.
  • Manage third party research vendors to execute and deliver best in class research.
  • Develop plan to disseminate and present available Research to relevant audiences (both general staff and top leadership) on an ongoing basis so it’s value and utility is maximized. Make presentations to business partners when necessary.
  • Develop into category and portfolio subject matter expert (SME).
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging research resources and techniques that would be relevant for our business, vet them and test as appropriate.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years in Marketing or Market Research and experience in Consulting.
  • Team player; ability to lead, partner and negotiate with cross functional team to successfully deliver client needs. Track record of delivering meaningful research insights that drive business success.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Promotes a culture of teamwork across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated sense of accountability and decisiveness.
  • Ability to successfully interact with various levels within the organization, including Senior Management.
  • Intellectually curious, proactively seeking and developing new opportunities.
  • Presentation and exerting influence. Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Product Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager is a consumer centric, data-driven and collaborative individual that will be in charge of delivering marketing plans that drive customer preference by partnering with different business units and external partners, meaning that excellent communications and project management skills are a must. This individual will need to lead a team of professionals to help them fulfill their complete potential. This position will also be accountable for effectively prioritizing initiatives based on business goals, budget efficiency and their scalability potential, while identifying current processes deficiencies and proposing out of the box solutions.

As part of this role, you will also need to be a creative problem solver with a customer-centric oriented mindset in order to build and leverage advanced analytics to correlate and find trends between everyday business metrics and marketing campaigns.

Tasks

  • Develop a full understanding of the consumer based on constant analysis of all available research.
  • Identify main consumer journey touchpoints to impact the target audience effectively.
  • Identify prime prospects for each product and their relationship with other target audiences to optimize communication touchpoints throughout the whole portfolio.
  • Work together with market research in defining the best strategies for learning and qualification of our plans.
  • Prioritize each initiative with business and branding goals at the front of each decision.
  • Make sure that all the parties involved in each campaign deliver their part on time and with a high-quality standard.
  • Improve the way of work with internal and external stakeholders to always push for excellence and easier processes.
  • Assess creative briefs from a holistic perspective.
  • Assess if executions are consistent or not with brand equity.
  • Knows and applies the role of brand purpose for the long-term development of the brand.
  • Create equity through long term campaign ideas.
  • Develop 360 advertising by leveraging all channels where the consumer can be reached.
  • Harness the power of the creative agency and manages the relationship to build stronger plans.
  • Works together with market research and client experience to define the best testing platforms according to business needs.
  • Understand receptivity profile of our clients to reflect on optimal integrated plans that reach our target, leverage on/off media and is able to address particular salesforce needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong skills developing differentiated marketing strategies that drive performance (KPIs) and engagement tactics for each segment. 
  • Works constantly with different internal areas such as product, sales and data, to recommend solutions to business challenges from a marketing perspective.
  • Identify key internal and external data sources and analyze trends, extract learnings, and provide conclusions.
  • Ability to recognize integration opportunities to better serve the client.
  • Develop and lead high quality marketing reviews and marketing plans processes.
  • Excellent budget allocation and tracking.
  • Understand key financial concepts, including ROI to always presents plans that are financially sound.
  • Develop size of the prize analysis for key campaigns and activities.
  • Manage internal controls and make sure every piece published has its corresponding approvals.
  • Owns key control processes and delivers them with excellence.
  • Has a passion for continuous optimization through testing and results analysis.
  • Has the ability to work in multiple projects, challenges and meet tight deadlines.
