AVP - Network Automation Engineer (Hybrid)
This role is responsible for a variety of network automation activities including the design, develop and build tools to configure, monitor, maintain and visualize our network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to implementing modern and innovative network automation solution.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with multiple teams on developing network automation solutions
Translate high-level and low-level designs into reality to delivery high-impact solutions
Translate manual workflows into automation base low-level designs to achieve end-to-end automation
Implementing automation solutions using a variety of tools and technology such as Ansible, Python, Jenkins, Jinja, device API, Openshift, Kubernetes, and much more.
Build and maintain a CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and maintainability
Help prioritize feature development based on business requirement
Participate in various meeting by reviewing progress on projects, designs and code for various network automation projects.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure automation at scale
Ability to break down complex concepts and present them in a clean and concise way
Extensive experience with Ansible and/or Python automating network devices
Awareness of tools, libraries and data formats such as pytest, Nautobot, pydantic, JSON, YAML and more
Experience with creating custom APIs
Familiarity with CI/CD and how it could be applied to network automation
Familiarity with traditional Git workflows for working in a collaborative environment
Familiarity with Docker, specifically building, maintaining, and deploying custom containers
Experience in Routing and Switching technology
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
