Mortgage Strategy Lead
About the Role:
This role will shape the future of our mortgage business and will play a critical role in identifying emerging trends, developing growth strategies, and driving execution across the organization. The ideal candidate is a data-driven thought leader with a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels. This will be an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Mortgage & Lending Product Management.
Strategic Planning & Growth
- Lead the development and implementation of growth strategies for the mortgage business.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive intelligence assessments, and identify disruptive trends impacting the industry.
- Evaluate new opportunities, investments, and partnerships, providing quantitative and qualitative analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape.
Collaboration & Influence
- Partner closely with Mortgage & Branch senior leadership and extended leadership to provide strategic guidance and recommendations.
- Collaborate effectively across the USPB/RB organization, breaking down silos and fostering cross-functional partnerships.
- Build consensus and influence stakeholders at all levels to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
Communication & Presentation
- Synthesize complex information and data into clear, concise, and executive-level presentations and communications.
- Effectively communicate strategic recommendations and insights to diverse audiences.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations for business and management meetings.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Appropriately assess and mitigate risks associated with business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a strong ethical framework and escalate control issues with transparency.
Qualifications, Key Skills & Competencies Needed to be Successful:
- 10+ years experience in Financial Services, specifically in the Mortgage industry
- Bachelors degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- Project planning, management and consulting experience.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and financial acumen.
- Ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals, and drive results with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and concise executive presentations.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and gain support from diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork, with a willingness to break down silos to achieve optimal results.
- Independent thinker with a proactive mindset and a comfort level with ambiguity.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$145,840.00 - $218,760.00
