Internal Third Party Risk Manager

Team/Role Overview

Third Party Management (TPM) group is responsible for procuring products and services for Citigroup and manages the risks associated with Citi’s use of and reliance upon third party relationships, including outsourced arrangements, across all business lines and locations.

TPM defines and oversees the implementation of policies and standards that provide controls to assess and manage risks related to Citi’s third-party relationships and outsourcing arrangements and is accountable for the end-to-end Third-Party Management program at Citi, covering Inter-Affiliate.

The goal of TPM is to support Citi’s management of third parties capable of providing products and services in a safe and sound manner and at a reasonable cost and to manage the risks associated with third parties.

We are currently seeking our new team member as a Third-Party Management strategic professional

You will be responsible for the development, implementation and continual improvement of reporting tools/strategy/processes to oversee internal third part risk and performance.

What you’ll do

• Conduct oversight of internal third-party relationships to verify that the governance, risk, and control oversight activities are performed and completed in a timely manner.
• Act as subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and /or other team members to help them understand TPM Policy requirements.
• Communicate with Senior Managers, Business Stakeholders, multiple lines of defence, business process owners, and functional areas to build and maintain strong partnerships.
• Resolve TPM Process-level escalations coming from internal partners.
• Educate sectors/businesses on proper use of TPM framework, procedures and tools in alignment to our third-party management policy.
• Conduct analysis of third-party data to develop reporting for seniors and identify issues.

What we’ll need from you

• 6-10 years relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls and Third-Party Management – desirably in a fast-paced environment
• Internal third-party management knowledge/experience is preferred
• Fluent English knowledge, any other language is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence desired outcomes at all levels of an organization
• Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead global team efforts
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills to conduct data analysis and develop presentations - SQL, Visual Basic could be an asset
• Ability to see the big picture, organize and prioritize multiple deliverables in a large, global corporate environment with high attention to critical details
• Ability to work and think independently
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives
