Join Citi’s global Information Security team and play a key role in protecting one of the world’s largest financial institutions from evolving cyber threats. This intermediate-level role is ideal for someone passionate about cyber intelligence, eager to work with cutting-edge tools, and ready to make an impact by helping detect and mitigate real-world risks to Citi’s brand, data, and clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze cyber threat alerts and intelligence reports to identify and assess risks to Citi

  • Monitor cyber threat actors and trends (e.g. APTs, fraud, hacktivism, malware)

  • Investigate and report on security incidents, breaches, and data threats

  • Create and use custom tools to support threat analysis and intelligence collection

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including law enforcement and industry peers

  • Prepare high-quality briefings and written intelligence products for leadership

  • Research new threat sources, technologies, and analytical methods

  • Support automation and innovation in intelligence workflows and tooling

What we’ll need from you:

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, or a related field

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required and advanced degrees are welcome- preferably in a STEM major, computer science, or cyber technology - Certifications from EC-Council, GIAC, (ISC)² [CISSP, C/EH, GCIA, CCNA] or relevant technical or specialty areas are a plus

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with clear, concise communication abilities

  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Advanced Persistent Threat, Third Party Risks/Threats, Cybercrime, Extremist Groups and Cyber Terrorists, Hacktivism, Distributed Denial of Service attacks, Fraud, Malware, Mobile Threats

  • Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Java, Beanshell, Regex) is preferred

  • Knowledge of tools like Palantir, Maltego, i2 Analyst’s Notebook, or similar is a plus

  • Comfortable working with OSINT, social media, dark web, and other data sources

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

  • Willingness to earn industry certifications within 12 months if not already held
