Global Controller Technology - Automation Development Group Manager
The Automation Development Group Manager is a role to lead and drive process and functionality automation through planning, solution design, application development/enhancement, in a global multi-year program to reduce enterprise risk.
The role requires partnership with Finance business, FMCR Tech Architecture Lead, FINANCE Risk and Control Partners for both Finance and Technology, 2nd Line of defense of Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Governance which are based globally
The incumbent will play a role that has capability to not only revamp technological part of solutions but also add value to business by understanding the methodology and quantitative methods involved.
Incumbent would require excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills in addition to required technical acumen.

Finance Services Automation platform (FINSAP) is a global application in Finance Market Control and Risk Technology built for providing low code automation services. The application is built to automate thousands of manual processes that are required to complete as part of daily/month/quarter-end close process. The FINSAP team is the global center for the creation of automation workflows to help reducing enterprise risk and manual efforts and well supported by teams across the globe

Key Deliverables/ Responsibilities
Design solution to solve complex business problems and automate complex processes
Configurable and re-usable workflows development allowing customers to control their processes efficiently. This includes Process Mapping, Task Management, Task Automation and Output Tracking
Process rationalization to eliminate inefficiencies and duplicate tasks
Application development to reduce enterprise risk
Feature development to add more capabilities to an existing digital platform
Code review – Review developed solutions by development team to ensure best coding practices and Citi guidelines are followed
Introduce process improvement to achieve efficiency gain in development and overall solution delivery
Lead and manage team of developers to implement solutions as per required standards and timelines
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lesser experienced analysts
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
Expected Work Experience
10+ Years of experience in process rationalization, developing and implementing process automation tools
Having experience in ETL/data management tools such as KNIME, informatica, Ab initio, Xceptor
Experience of designing and implementing complex, scalable and re-usable components/workflows
Ability to guide team in custom solution design and development
Good working knowledge of relational database and SQL
Should have good understanding of source code repository & branching model
Understanding of application build and release process
Should have good understanding and practical experience in project management methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall
Soft Skills and Competencies:
Communication and Presentation - Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with very strong presentation skills
Independent thinking- ability to work independently with a good experience of working with multiple teams across different geographies
Flexibility- Candidate should be flexible and open to work to interact with global partners/teams or as per project demand
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
