Markets Operations Program Management Lead

We are currently recruiting a candidate to join a cross functional global team within the Markets Operations COO Organization. The Program Execution and Portfolio Management team has been formed to support stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank, to deliver this multi-year transformation roadmap. Our transformation is underpinned by strategy, investment, change execution and a market-leading change delivery team focusing on program and project management, business analysis, process re-engineering, low code application development and PMO.
Role Overview:
The Vice President Project Manager/Business Analyst role we are recruiting for will be instrumental in supporting Change initiatives in one or more projects for Markets Operations. The role will combine project management expertise and analytical skills to support cross product transformation in partnership with operations teams and technology partners globally across Citi. The role requires a good understanding of Markets products and operational processing as well as project management practices and discipline.
What you’ll do
Manage a set of assigned projects; Developing plans, tracking progress of deliverables, performing analysis, ensuring all project delivery documentation is in place to the required standard and meeting stakeholder expectations
Works with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets operations objective, ensuring requirements are clearly documented, are strategic and are well understood by all stakeholders and Technology
Works with stakeholders to ensure requirements are backed by a business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and that there are trackable, tangible benefits with associated KPIs
Proactively manage the communication of status, issue, resolution and risks to the Sponsor and key stakeholders on a timely basis and engaged in/driving working groups, senior forums, and workshops where required
Foster and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders acting as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
Support stakeholders across program lifecycle phases such as testing and operational readiness planning
Leads the identification and drives resolution of issues, including those outside of the immediate workstream within their remit
Implement best practices and global consistency, simplifying and standardizing processes, controls and flows
Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery as defined by Citi PM standards
Facilitate and deliver change to reduce the Markets Operations risk profile
What we’ll need from you:
Significant experience in delivering transformation programs in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations, risk or technology organization
Exceptional Program Management skills; Specialized program management and/or reengineering certifications (six sigma, Agile, Lean, Prince 2 or PMP)
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities along with a desire to work in a dynamic environment is key
Excellent analytical, data management and problem-solving skills and ability to clearly document findings and proposals for solutions using tools such as excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels
Exercise independence of judgement/autonomy and can operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
