The CoBrand External Sales & Balances Director reports to the Head of Portfolio Management and Analytics for CRS. The mandate for the role is to own and grow Cobrand external sales, balcon, and rate sale across CRS’ 20MM+ accounts. This leader will work across partner teams, marketing, finance, analytics, and risk to set strategy and will own sales and lending targets horizontally across CRS.  The successful candidate will be analytical in nature, with a strong data & science-based approach to grow wallet share, with specific top of wallet behavior targets, improve both NCM and ROTCE, and expand reach to new universes while modernizing and digitizing programs.

Working closely with Partner Management, Marketing, CX, Operations, Risk, Analytics, CFO, Digital and Tech teams, the individual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage External sales, Balcon and Rate Sales as products (EBR)– including horizontal targets, campaigns, digital placements, funnel management, tracking, reporting

  • Create, manage, and execute EBR target segment level strategy across CRS; deliver Plan Sales, ANR, Revenue, and EBIT commitments horizontally across CRS for these programs/products.

  • Use data to identify new opportunities across CRS to promote and use cutting edge analytics to optimize offers across the sales and lending continuum

  • Partner with Marketing, Analytics horizontals, and Risk to implement segmentation, pricing, and response models that optimize NCM and ROTCE.

  • Drive cross-functional teams to execute on agreed priorities within established operating plans and timelines

  • Partner with Risk Management to implement tests aligned with risk appetite framework

  • Lead all work on competitive analysis and research deep diving into competitive strategy including competitive economics, offer strategy,

  • Partner with Marketing, Risk, and Analytics and Partner managers to implement segmentation, pricing and response models to optimize response and profitability. Test and Learn: Work with the channel teams to leverage creative test results and lead the design of a framework to continuously incorporate best practices, and create a disciplined test agenda that builds on previous learnings

  • Identify and execute on new opportunities to further promote and optimize our offers through the lending continuum. Collaborate with Risk Management to implement programs aligned with our risk appetite framework and achieve the best Risk Return trade off.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of management experience within financial services, card industry and partnerships

  • In depth knowledge of co-brand space and marketing programs that drive spend & lend

  • Strategic thinker who can define the overall business strategy and detailed tactical plan as well as get buy in from partners to execute said plan.

  • Strong relationship management skills and experience with client team management

  • Proven track-record of delivering results and managing teams that execute with excellence

  • Deep knowledge, insights, understanding of customer needs, market, industry players and performance, strategies, products/services of key competitors.

  • Strong people leader with proven track record of structuring work, coaching talent and growing team members' skills and capabilities

  • Demonstrated success in managing internal and external partnerships

  • Prior analytics experience including development  design of experience, modelling and financial evaluation of investment through pricing and promotions

  • P&L management; strong financial acumen and analytical skills

  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
