Senior Product Developer
The Senior Product Developer is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Structure and break down problems, develop solutions, to drive to results.
- Develops code, prioritizes coordinates design and delivery of products or features to product release, and serves as product champion within user community.
- Works in close co-ordination with Institutional Credit management colleagues across Technology, Product Development, Business Managers and senior stakeholders to fulfil the delivery objectives.
- Has responsibility to deliver direct business results and advice regarding product development that necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.
- Partners with senior team members and leaders and a widely distributed global user community to define and implement solutions.
- Has direct interaction with business managers, technology, and product teams to understand their long-term vision and design report and dashboard to fulfil those needs.
- Focuses on controls and governance, including performing Need-to-Know based security and access reviews, Access Approvals, controls testing and documentation.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Hands on experience with of Python development including CI/CD pipeline (github / bitbucket is must).Experience with Python UI libraries and frameworks like Streamlit/ Plotly dash/ flask is a big plus.
- Ability to write efficient SQL queries.
- Know how to read/write to database systems, such as SQL, Bigdata.
- Experience in building intuitive reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, QlikView, etc. Experience with UX/UI design is a plus but not necessary.
- Experience with the ETL processes and Task/Job Schedulers (Airflow) and ability to troubleshoot technical issues on your own.
- Comfortable with performing data investigations that require a high degree of accuracy with tight timescales.
- Knowledge of project tracking software like JIRA will be an advantage.
