Operational risk data analyst is responsible for in-business risk identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting. The role covers the entire scope of operational risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and validate methods of measuring and analyzing different Operational risk types. Additionally, develop, validate and strategize uses of scoring methodologies
  • Manage operational risk indicators throughout development, validation, ongoing performance and annual refresh
  • Produce analytics and reporting used to assess operational risk
  • Translate operational requests from the business into programming and data criteria and conduct systems and operational research to identify expected results
  • Assist in the development of analytic engines
  • Apply AI based solution to enhance risk identification and controls
  • Communicate results to diverse audiences
  • Participate in cross functional taskforces set to solve business problems
  • Manage stakeholder interaction

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Audit, Compliance or other control function
  • Proficiency handling very large data sets
  • Proficient in Python programming and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Markets products and services
  • Familiarity with enhancing, automating, or simplifying control processes as well as monitoring control exceptions and breaches
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Proven ability to design and lead projects that enhance processes, showcasing creativity in problem-solving complex situations
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders across the business
