The Distributed Batch Operations Senior Technical Analyst resides within the Batch Operations Distributed Platform, a multi-disciplinary group that supports the Distributed Batch Scheduling and Transmission Services platforms for a range of Business units across the company. The successfully candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, team player and a great manager of themselves, with proven technical experience within the distributed platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Appropriately assess the risks when technical decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation by safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Perform impact assessments, provide workarounds to restore services, resolve high impact problems and work on projects.

  • Review requirement documents and update processes and procedures as necessary.

  • Deliver and/or support business and technology projects requiring distributed batch job scheduling and/or file transmissions for all environments.

  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with distributed batch scheduling and file transfer concepts and practices - knowledge of CA Autosys, CA WCC, IBM Connect Direct and IBM Control Center.

  • Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.

  • Problem-solving skills and an analytical approach.

  • Hands on experience with distributed servers running UNIX, Linux and Windows OS also Unix Shell scripting and Window Power Shell.

  • Hands on experience with  SQL, Grafana and IBM monitoring tools is an advantage.

  • BSc/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Infrastructure Technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement.

  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
